Overview

Callie Hunter, best friend to alpha half-wolf Cadence, has had enough of the pack life. Setting her sights on any place without wolves, she heads north only to be sidetracked by a devastating car crash that brings her face to face with twin mountain lions.

Ethan and Eryx, small town sheriff's deputies, knew the moment they touched Callie that she was the mate they'd always wanted. But mountain lion females don't take kindly to sharing their males with anyone else and will do anything in their power to discourage Callie from sticking around. Will Ethan and Eryx's desire for Callie cost them everything, or will Callie find her inner wolf and the home she's always dreamed of?

This novel contains ménage-a-trois, hunky cops, handcuffs, an on-the-run she-wolf, sex in every room in the house, and inappropriate use of the phrase "assault with a deadly weapon".

Ok, where can I order me a were lion and have him overnighted? Seriously! Sexy, good in bed, cooks, does laundry and "gasp" sensitive to a womans needs?! And wait there's more, there is...wait for it...wait...two of them!!! Sigh.

I liked the twins (who wouldn't) but they did everything working, cooking, cleaning, laundry...what did she do other than sleep with them & play with the cub on Sundays. She was kind of boring. Also didn't like the way Cadence was treated that was awful!!!

I was disappointed with this book.  Callie treated Cadence horribly and then the author has Cadence act jealous of Callie as if Cadence's relationship was bad.  The author basically made Cadence weak and dependent on Callie, while Callie only needed her friend to protect here from the pack.  It felt like a totally different person wrote this book.  Not one of her finest.

Good if u cut 2-3 hundred pages. I hardly got to the end, and only by skipping. Cheap buy for a reason. Get it if u want. After sex sex sex sex and wait for it... yep thats right sex! It got old and boring, dont want the same flavor of ice cream ever minute! You have been warned. No real story beyond they 250ish pages... besides same old sex.

I don't like how the author showed Callie's "growth" by having her disregard everyone in her past. Best friends, no matter the distance, will not fall apart. The book got two stars because of the way the author presented Cades and her holier-than-thou attitude towards cats. She's a half-bred herself and knows how it is to be looked down on. Disappointing.

Callie ' s story would have been good if the author didn't completely change Jason and Cadence ' s personalities. In the first book, they were nothing like that! Jason and Cadence's story was my favorite so far, but now this story tarnished that! I'm not even going to read the other stories. I don't want to spoil the story by telling details(just in case someone hasn't read it), all I'm going to say is if you haven't read the other 2 stories before this one read it and you'll see what I'm saying.

Okay, this author needs to turn in her PNR card. Seriously,,, Did she forget the series 1st book??? How dare you write Jason as a terrible person and Cadence as shallow. Really,,, turning your hero and heroine from bk 1 into what you wrote???? Now back to this book... Seriously, you wrote the alphas ( which I do not consider them ) as weak cry babies. And the females as bullies. Shame on you. Oh and Callie... Here. Terrible.

I felt like I read a different version of what some of the reviewers read. They wrote how Callie turned her back on her old life and best friend and don't like how she treated Cadance. First of all, Callie decided to leave ("turned her back on") her pack to not only find happiness but also to find the freedom to be herself. I remember Callie telling Lisa that while the other female wolves were fighting for rank, she just wanted to be left in peace and was fine being low-rank. Plus, she didn't want to cause a rift between Cades and Jason if she stay so she left. Second, she had all these crazy lionesses gunning for her, from trying to scare her to trying to get her raped to trying to kill her. She knew that if she called Cades about it that Cades would come there to help her but that wasn't what Callie wanted. Callie wanted to finally find the strength and courage to stand up for herself and to fight for something worthy. She even mentions how she wanted to be strong like Cades. And, hello! That phone message from Jason how if she made Cades worry and lose her baby, he would hunt her down. C'mon! Jason was one of the reasons Callie left in the first place. Even Cades mentally says that Callie left because he made her leave. Lastly, how would any of you feel hearing your bestie from childhood say they wanted you to be miserable without them and come home where you belong? That's what got to me most about Cades. Her reactions at the rehearsal. It's like she was saying Callie couldn't be happy anywhere else but at home. Or more like, she had no right to be happy if Cades wasn't around. Is that how besties are supposed to be? Even when they kind of reconcile at the end, their friendship had already broke. And everyone knows that even if you're able to put back together what's been broken, it isn't really the same anymore.

Was very surprised how snotty & selfish she made Cadence in this book. Wasn't like that in her own book.

I made the mistake of reading Callies Cats before this book and it totally destroyed my ability to enjoy this book. In Callies book she describes the horrible treatment she received from Jason, and how shallow Candice is. With this knowledge it left me totally unsympathetic to the primary characters of this book. Be careful in this case to read this book first if you are to enjoy the characters or you will be like I was, diliking them before the book even starts.

Okay, first of all, I love this series, and I loved callie in all of the other books, but actually hated her in this one. I didn't like the way she treated Cades.. No relationship is perfect, but Callie just turned her back on her childhood friend who stood up for her, bled for her and defended her. I mean really?? I don't fault her for finding love, and I understood that she was not happy in her pack, but she did not have to turn away from Cades. She became so consumed with her life that she just wrote off Cades and it left a very bitter taste in my mouth. I also didn't like that Callie's story got so many pages. I don't see the relationship ever being repaired and I hate the way the author left it. I'm thankful to see in all the other books that Cades made new and better friend espcially Karly.

This was the first book in the series that i read and i loved it---after reading it i went looking for the rest of the series---i wish when books were part of a series they would tell on the cover which series and number in the series it is---some do but lots dont and it gets frustrating trying to figure out whats - what! Better yet in description of book you read before buying it --it should tell which series and # book is (again-some do, some dont----same with page count)
