Overview

Jenna Odile planned to spend the eve of her twenty-fifth birthday partying with her friends before she cast a spell to find her truemate. Before she can, she's captured by a group of criminally-minded werewolves who want to use her fae-abilities to commit crimes. Poisoned and left for dead, she used the last of her strength to cast the spell for her truemate, hoping that he would find her before it was too late.

The last thing Logan Anderson wanted to do with his Saturday evening was watch over the young male wolves in his pack while they attended a dance in hopes of finding their mates. As the night wore on, he began to feel compelled to leave, and his instincts led him to race into the woods at the side of the highway. In the darkness of the woods, he finds a woman near death, who begs him to protect her. Now, nothing is more important than helping her get well. He'll deal with those who hurt her... later.

This story contains a male werewolf with a dark past, a fairy who can't wait to find her truemate, and the betrayal that brings them together. Features hot werewolf-fairy loving, mythical creatures, full moon madness, and lots of neck biting.

Meet the Author

A Midwesterner by birth, R.E. spent much of her childhood rewriting her favorite books to include herself as the main character. Later, she graduated on to writing her own books after "retiring" from her day job as a secretary to become a stay-at-home mom. When not playing with her kids, wrestling her dogs out the door, or cooking dinner for her family, you'll find her typing furiously and growling obscenities to the characters on the screen.

The Wolf's Mate series, The Wiccan-Were-Bear series, The Necklace Chronicles, Ashland Pride, Wilde Creek, and the Hyena Heat series are available now.

She hopes you enjoy her writing and she would love to hear from you. You can follow her on twitter @rebutlerauthor, or follow her blog at www.rebutlerauthor.com! Happy Reading!

Jenna is turning 25. She plans on spending the evening with her friends and then do a spell to find her soulmate. Unfortunately, she is kidnapped by an evil pack of wolves. They want to use her fae abilities for bad things. She is better and chained with iron, with the last of her strength she is able to cast out her spell. When Logan is out with the young wolves of his pack. He is chaperoning them while they are attending a "find your mate dance". He feels that he needs to leave. Something is drawing him to the woods. There he finds Jenna. She begs him to help her. Could he be her soulmate, could she be his mate?

Logan & Jenna’s story is a magical tale of two loves being brought together in dire circumstances. I continue to love the world that Ms. Butler has built and this book just brings more to that world. In fact, it adds a whole new world to the mix, the world of the Faerie. Logan has lived through hell. His old pack was very screwed up. He came to Jason’s pack after seeing an ad. He couldn’t be happier, well he could, but he’s basically given up all hope of finding his one. Jenna is betrayed on her 25th birthday and calls out to her true mate. Thank goodness he is close enough to save her. Their love story is beautiful and fun. This story made me laugh, cry and want to punch something. I love a story like that, one that gets all of my emotions involved. I can’t wait to see if Ms. Butler builds more on the Faerie world in future books.

This is my favorite of the series!  I love shifters and love fae, so the combination of the two made my weekend.  Logan has been swoon worthy since he first told them he was not going to fight to move up the ranks because he was happy with the spot that he earned after he joined.  It is clear that he was stronger and would have easily been Beta if he had wanted to.  Jenna is a low ranking fae and uses the last of her powers to call her truemate when she is captured.  I loved seeing them come together and seeing how the cultures of the wolves and fae differed and how Jenna and Logan helped combine them.  Being a fae addict as much as I am a shifter addict, I was a little bit disappointed that they iron in modern society thing was not addressed, but that is me being an uber picky head.

I love these books, they have a really great story line and not all about sex. This book is 172 pages usually I don't buy books with this few pages, but these are good books and worth the money. I have read almost all of the books that R. E. Butler writes. Alway great stories with lots of thrills and worries involved. A must read for anyone that likes were books, along with fairies and other paranormal creatures.

This was a fun story to read.  It was full of suspense, action, romance and mythery.  I say mythery, not mystery, because it involves a wolf shifter, a fairy and a sprite.  Jenna and Logan meet under exigent, life-threatening circumstances and find themselves bound by blood suddenly.  This author's descriptive writing takes the reader through portals between the fae and mortal kingdoms and into the lives of a wolf pack that is accepting of other lifemate species.  I felt like a temporary member of the pack with a close peek into the traditions and ceremonies that are involved in the melding of different species into a family and a pack. It is a heartwarming story full of danger, excitement, justice, tolerance, romance, and love.  I read this story out of order and now intend to get the other stories of this pack that came before because I don't want to miss anything.  I recommend this series to those looking for great paranormal shifter stories.

I would suggest you read the series from the beginning. You don't have to but they make more sense that way. Very good.

I really liked this book. I liked this book the way I like soft blankets and warm tea. It is very cozy and very comfortable. It isn't extraordinary  or amazing but it feels good. I love that in a book.  I thrilled that this book is a part of series and spin off series!  The world building in this book is good and its a known paranormal world which I prefer because we don't have to waste all our time on the shock of discovery. Our hero is a super badass wolf shifter with a heart of gold who wants a mate and our heroine is a sweet perky fairy who also wants her mate. They each don't know much about each other culture so we get that fun of discovery and learning about the Fae realm.  We have an awful bad guy for some tension and action and we mainly have a lovely getting to know you sexy times. The characters are wonderful and I loved spending time with them. I love the sprite in this book.  This book is a pleasure I am sure I will be savoring it again soon. I just need to go out and get the rest of them...
