Meet the Author

Mary Turner taught history for many years, and was an A-level examiner. She has long enjoyed an interest in women's history, and since going freelance has written widely on the subjects as well as on nostalgia and family history. Her articles have been published in The Lady, Yours, Bella, Practical Family History and Ancestors. She lives in North London.
