Well written book, thorough, easy to follow descriptions of exercises with pictures of models. The historical chapter, and the pictures of all the equipment  that can be used, as well as info on people that Joe Pilates trained to teach his method, added to the book.  It is obvious that Brooke Siler loves what she does and really wants you to get the most you can from Pilates.  I have her first book and feel this one is much better. I bought it today and am on Chapter 6.  I find it hard to believe that Joe Pilates felt that if you spend 10 minutes 4 times a week, you will see real changes.  However, if you follow proper form and really engage the core muscles, which we tend not to do all day long in front of computers, it does make sense.  Joe Pilates, like Moshe Feldenkrais, had physical problems starting in childhood that inspired them to look outside the box of traditional medicine.  Both went on to develop a system of bodywork that was unconventional, but has stood the test of time.  Like Brooke said, many people 'do' Pilates, but it is questionable as to just what they are doing now that it has reached fad status.  I would recommend this book to all who are seeking an efficient exercise that you can do at home and see results with.
