This was one of the most entertaining networking books I've read. Each cringe worthy story depicting a first-hand account of HORRIBLE networkers was enlightening. There's no better way to learn what not to do from the people that do it. I can't recommend this book enough. Highly recommend!

I have been to so many networking events over the years and I have seen and encountered many of the people that Tim Houston and his co-authors have written about. Usually, I would just consider it to be rude behavior but apparently as this book points out, many of the actions, behaviors and attitudes of these networkers are symptoms of a much larger problem that Houston tackles head-on in a no-hold-barred, unapologetic way. The stories in the book are very easy to relate to regardless if you are an experienced networker or a newbie. Unlike the so-called "networking experts" who are a dime a dozen and give the same tired advice in their books and seminars, Houston's approach stands out way above the crowd. Like a modern-day alchemist, he takes the negative experiences of himself and others and turns them into golden opportunities for the reader to learn exactly what they shouldn't do while attending networking events. A easy and very entertaining and educational read!

This book is filled with short stories of the many characters, charmers and clowns we meet everyday. We can all relate to these stories and learn from them. It's a brilliant idea to learn from the worst, how to be the best. Great read that keeps you interested and wanting to read the next story.

This book is great! The stories are fun, illustrative, and sometimes too true and close to the heart. Not only will learn a ton, you'll also laugh (or cry if the story is about you). If you're like me and learn from other's mistakes...pick this book up and give it a whirl. You'll be glad you did! Weston Lyon
