I have received Richard Krzemien's e-newsletter which contains his latest cartoon offerings and was very excited to see a collection in book form. Not only are the cartoons hilarious, but they are also poignant. The art work is superb and there are gems of additional humor and insight contained in each cartoon beyond the punchline. You can read and re-read this collection over and over and find something new to admire and laugh out loud at each time. This is a must have book for writers and non-writers alike.

The Writer at Work is the best thing for the struggling Creative Writer that gets up several times and walks away from the computer hoping that the words will magically appear on the computer screen when he returns. Read the quick read book, laugh, reflect, and return feeling better to your work.

Writers in any field of writing will get a kick out of Krzemien's keen and humorous insights. This is THE BOOK to pick up when the old writer's block kicks in. I'd also recommended it for student writers, since a student's first encounter with the blank page and no ideas can be devastating. Krzemien's comics are well known within the screenwriting industry. As a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, I will heartily recommend this little tome to my colleagues.

I gave this to a friend of mine for Christmas, who has had some success in writing for television, and he kept staring at one particular page saying 'but it's just like that! that's me!'. It was quite a hit at the party. Very clever.

My sister sent me this book for my birthday. I sat down and read it one sitting. And then I called my sister to thank her for the gift. Richard Krzemien's drawings are hilarious, full of soothing wit for anyone who has tried to write and has found herself, instead, with her forehead on the desk and suddenly craving pizza. Writers will appreciate knowing others feel the same way as they do. Even more, they will appreciate being able to laugh at themselves. It is the only way to survive.
