I loved reading this magazine and thought it had a lot of good information in it. However, I'm disappointed to learn that it is on hiatus, despite the fact that Barnes and Noble continued to take money out of my account and never informed me of this. The only reason I discovered it was because I thought it was odd that I hadn't received a new magazine from them in a while and did some investigating.

This is one of my favorite, if not my favorite, magazines for writers. I enjoyed the electronic edition very much. Note the past tense. A few months back, they discontinued support for the Nook (e-ink) edition of this title. Without explanation or warning. This is a major negative and I cancelled my subscription when I realized it. Thankfully, I only wasted 1 issue. It's really sad, because this is not a magazine that is dependent on graphics and photo content. Heck, there are mags that are much more photo heavy that are available. This change just really didn't make sense.

I like "The Writer" publication very much, but as of now the Kalmbach Publishing Co has announced that the magazine will be "on hiatus" until further notice (and until they can find a buyer).

Won't open on my Nook. Error message says format not supported. So why sell it?

Enjoyed reading "The Writer" for many months, moving seamlessly from my First Edition Nook, my PC, my iphone, and my android tablet. Not any more. Support for my Nook and my PC have been dropped. What poor customer service! How disappointing especially when Barnes and Noble advertise seamless synced integration between devices. Shame on you Barnes and Noble! And to think I was ready to subscribe to more magazines before you pulled the plug. Donna Ellis, Disappointed Customer

Nothing was wrong with the magazine, but I can't use it on my Nook Simple Touch, so there was no point in continuing the subscription.

inexplicable. the point is to expand readership not shrink it. Doesn't cost a think to covert the text to an e-ink format. marketing geniuses here. too bad. a decent magazine for beginners

In my retirement, I have taken on the challenge of writing a newsletter. This book is an excellence referece on style, process and tips for writing. When you hit a wall, it gives you a starting point to begin writing content that will engage the reader. It is also an excellent resource, for training seminars and writers gatherings around the world.

The magazine itself was wonderful and full of content that applies to writers of all sorts. Unfortunately I had to cancel as the format was incompatible with my 1st gen Nook.

Excellent magazine... BUT. The website will process your payment and this magazine will appear in your "Library" on the B&N website , however, this magazine is NOT compatible with the NOOK Simple Touch and will NOT be available for viewing on your NOOK.

With every issue I learn something useful. There is always a nugget of information that helps me sharpen my skill and be a better writer. My only regret is I didn't subscribe sooner.

The community of writers making up this magazine have done a wonderful job. I enjoy the articles, insights, tips, and overall peek into the lives of writers and what has made them successful at telling stories. Thank you.
