Want to get your book done?

Want the adventure to be enjoyable, not strenuous?

Beth Barany's book "The Writer's Adventure Guide" is more of an interactive experience than a book. Instead of teaching the craft of how to write, she focuses on the best approach to tackle the emotions and logistics involved with the adventure of writing a book.

Using the Hero's Journey she empowers the writer through the 12 stages.

The first thing I like about this book is that it's realistic ... it offers practical ways to complete your first draft in 12 weeks compared to the over-hyped "write a book in a day" books that lack substance ... "The Writer's Adventure Guide" is different, it is full of useful advice and exercises.

As a writing coach, I'd recommend this book to anyone embarking on the exciting journey towards success as an author.

I haven't bought a writing guide book for years (I used to buy a lot but when they started all sounding alike, I gave up and did it my way) but I liked the look of this book. Of course I'd read about the hero's journey from a number of sources but I liked how the Beth Barany takes the reader/writer through the 12 stages. If you want to write, and finish, a book you would have a friend here to do it with.

This book is a step-by-step guide to getting your novel written. Whether you're a beginning writer or have a few novels finished, it's chocked full of exercises to stimulate creativity and to help organize your thoughts and pages. Using the mythic story structure as her model, Beth Barany has crafted 12 concise steps to get you through the preparation, writing, and completion phases of your novel. I enjoyed this author's step-by-step approach so much I immediately bought a second book by Ms. Bar
