Ellen is an educated spitfire who is now living out west with her dad. Out of no where she starts receiving marriage proposals from all eligible bachelors. She even receives a proposal from a man she has never met by way of his ranch hand. Somethings not right with the situation and she is determined to get to the bottom of it.
This love story is short and sweet and packed with emotions. I loved James and could only wish her were the cowboy seeking my attention. I would have to classify this short story as Romantica. The sexual tension was hot and so well written. I enjoyed the plot and loved the characters. The love scenes were hot but not over the top. I enjoyed the plot and loved the characters
Tina's writing style flows well and even though this was a western, I look forward to trying out some of her paranormal romances. My only complaint would be that I wanted more because the story was so enjoyable.

I liked this book. It was just as advertised...a short erotic western. I enjoyed the characters and the sex scenes were hot. I wished it had been longer. I will be on the lookout for more books by this author.

For someone who reads fast, this was too short. barely kept me entertained. Felt like an excerpt rather than a book.

A sweet and sexy story, I loved it. This is a short novella it took me a little over an hour to read. So if your looking for a sexy ride that wont take up your whole weekend this is an excellent choice. I very much enjoyed it.
Ellen is a pure spitfire. She is still not married and now all of a sudden is having men come and seek her hand in marriage. She knows something is up and has to find out. Ellen doesn't want some cowboy she wants romance and poetry, so she is not going to take this lightly and has plans to escape, one way or another.
James has seen Ellen at a dance before and liked her. Now he hears her father is offering a huge amount of money (for this time period) for someone to take her off his hands. James wants her, but he has to handle her different because she has a reputation and knows she will decline every offer, so he goes about this a different way. How you say, you'll have to read.
This book was very entertaining and fun to read. The hero and heroine fit together so well, all they have to do is have sometime to find out how well. I found this very emotional at times. My biggest emotion was one time Ellen escapes and falls and gets a lot of cactus spines stuck in her back side. James has to help out and takes his time to get them out it was really sweet how he took care of her. The sexual tension along with the sex is very hot.

Not charming. If you like poor writing, obscene vocabulary and graphic depictions of sex this is the book for you. Otherwise stay clear. Can't delete it fast enough. Only giving one star because "star-less" is not an option.

Summary from Amazon:
When Rancher Irving tries to attract a suitable husband for his gun-shy daughter Ellen by offering a large amount of money, she takes things into her own hands and plans to run away. But a cowboy thwarts her plan and kidnaps her instead.
James isn't a cowboy, he's a rancher in need of a wife. And when he rescues Ellen from her own ill-conceived plan to escape, he takes her on a passionate and erotic journey trying to teach her that a husband does have his uses.
Caution: explicit and steamy sex scenes
Erotic Novella
Fast read, sexy scenes, and a feisty heroine.

Terrible and oh so boring

Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged. This was only about 50 pages on the Nook and I knew that when I borrowed the ebook from a fellow Nook owner. This book reinforced the fact that I'm not a fan of period romances--esp those which don't remain completely true to the time period. It's 1883 in this short novella, so the fact that the heroine's father is trying to marry her off isnt surprising. But there was language used that I don't think was used during the 1800s--could be wrong, but I have some doubts. The biggest issue for me was the male character, James Riley. At one moment he's kidnapping the heroine and threatening to "swat her behind" (and not in an erotic way) then by the end he's reading Lord Byron and telling how much he loves her. Huh?? Storyline has way too much going on for so few pages. The sex scenes fall flat as well.
