    this book saved my life

    and lives of other female friends that i knew, who had done the program before i began it. at the time i had a yeast - bacterial infection issue that kept pinging back and forth between the two, to the point where i could not take acidopholus any more either, because i had an overgrowth of good bacteria as well. within the first week, even as my body detoxed, i began feeling better. i easily lost 5 pounds of water weight & all of the trouble i had with bloating, with pms, began to assuage as well.

    this is not an easy lifestyle to uphold. once you're off, sometimes it's so difficult to get back on track that many of us go fully into toxicity again - like i am now, as i finally have decided to go back into the program. it is not easy to give up sugar - i am addicted to it - or man made carbs, as our entire american diet consists of those. and you must be diligent about check ingredient labels, about the food you order when out at a restaurant....(i.e. - no more sushi rolls, sashimi sans rice only... no eel bbq sauce....) the scariest thing is, once you clean your body out, tasting all of these things again & and how sweetened they are.

    i highly encourage you to find the courage to do this program. it will change your life.

    This Can Be Life Saver

    My family brought me up with mostly square meals but didn't realize that toxins and an unhealthy balance with loads of carboydrates, deep fat fried animal products, ect. were sort of invading the old fashioned whole foods diet with lots of fresh produce from home gardens. Nevertheless, when I started having trouble with yeast infections and my complexion as a young adult, I studied the matter. This book helped me tremendously. I took a check list test about chronic fatigue and found, I had a low grade of the trouble, so I empathise tremendously with anyone that has it worse. Back then, I had hay fever fall and spring and was told it's impossible to stop having allergies, well for over 20 years I've been hay fever free. I'm very energetic and still able to study a lot. My inflamed cystic acne is now manageable Rosacea, and I have continued to find great books to lesson troubles further. It makes me believe that one day, maybe even my Rosacea troubles can be a thing of the past, too. I sure hope to avoid diabetes and cancer like a few other relatives that didn't know suffered. Two of the last doctors I've seen figure, I'll only die of old age itself. I also credit studying fitness and keeping an active lifestyle where I try to do all things within my aptitude myself. It saves not only money but keeps me my mind actively learning and my body challenged.

    Ahead of its time, but outdated

    I learned nothing new that I didn't already know. Perhaps that speaks in Dr. Crook's favor since he wrote this book years ago. His understanding of the role of probiotics was definitely impressive. The book might be useful in acquainting people with possible yeast related issues.

    Should be Mandatory reading for Medical and Nursing Students

    Finding this book in 1998 restored my health.I was fighting a debilitating illness of unknown origin using the Drs. associated with my health plan. I found the book and worked with an Alternative/Holistic Internist who was more open to new ideas. 'AMAZING' He wrote in my chart as I responded to treatment for Yeast Proliferation.
