However, he's finding that her trust is hard won and he needs a bloody crowbar to pry open her scarred soul. So he risks everything to win her once and for all. But once he's put his daring plan in motion, will it cost Liam his heart if he loses Raine to Hammer for good?

The constant indecision of the main characters is annoying! I waited a year for this book to be released because the release date kept getting postponed and when it seems things are finally about to workout for Raine, Liam and Macen bam Liam gets a call from his ex-wife and the book ends. Cliffhangers suck especially if the next book is going to take another year! Not even a mention of when to expect the next book. Shayla Black is one of my favorites but this irked the hell out of me.

I'm stopping now. If I ignore the last paragraph, this one had the HEA, and I don't have to wait (once again) for another "installment." What's with serials? Also, it's not that hard to make a decision - and once you do, stick with it. The wishy-washy people in romances these days are driving me insane!

This book was so hot. Hammer, Liam, and Raine together as a threesome was so very sexy. They had a lot of bumps in the road but they get a lot of help from some other hot doms.

I couldn't even finish this book. It is just so bad. The first 100 pages are just fighting between them all. The next is just endless boring talk, talk, talk. I finally just quit reading after skimming several pages. I get enough fighting and angst in real life, why would I want my downtime spent reading this crap too? I wish I could get my brain cells and the money I spent on this "book" back. Too bad I couldn't give it a .5 rating instead of a whole star.

Raine Kendall has everything that she could need to make her happy. Sexy as sin Dom Liam O’Neill collared her as his and is doing everything he can to make her happy. She just can’t get out of the past in her head enough to truly submit to him. It also doesn’t help that the man she’s loved for years is still there by her side letting her know that he wants her to be his either! Will Macen Hammerman AKA Hammer succeed in coming between Raine and Liam or will he eventually put her needs ahead of his own and step back?

Outstanding! This second book, The Young and the Submissive, is devoted to working on being open, honest and communicating with words. The detailed writing of the scenes are so well constructed that I felt like a voyeur. The build-up and tearing down of emotional walls...redirecting negative beliefs into beautiful truths was done without negative thought. I loved how Raine's fears and desires were addressed without demoralizing her. Hammer and Liam had to work on some differences and their struggles seemed real...honest. And let's not forget that yes although there's a cliffhanger, book 3 The Bold and the Dominant is waiting to be read!

Great followup to the first book. While I am not submissive at all I find it very hot reading and fantasy material. The characters sure all have lots of issues to work through, but seem to be making great strides when it appears that Liam's exwife has decided to throw a wrench in the harmony! I look foward to a hot and loving ending to this story and hope to hear from the other two intriguing alpha men in this story

This is the second book in this trilogy it picks up right where book one left off. Raine is with Liam she is his collared submissive but part of her is still in love with Macen it prevents her from acting the way she should. She keeps things from Liam and distracts him when he asks something she doesn’t want to talk about. It is the week of Thanksgiving and she still hasn’t gotten her period she could be pregnant with Macen’s baby while collared to Liam. What a mess that would be. She and Macen aren’t supposed to talk unless it’s about work. Things between her and Liam are strained she sometimes doesn’t even think about the things she does and how they will affect him or make him feel. Things get bad on Thanksgiving and the next day Liam lets her know that he is uncollaring her but with still be there for her. He wants to give her time to decide what she wants. She takes this to mean that he doesn’t want her anymore and that she isn’t worth the fight. So she does what she always thinks she should do which is leave. Liam and Macen go out of their mind when they can’t find her. She leaves her car and turns off her phone. She checks into a cheap motel and goes for a walk. She winds up going to Beck’s office in the hospital for advice. Her takes her to his place and helps her work through some things. He calls the guys to tell she is with them and he is helping her. Once she is ready he takes her home to the guys and she has some things to tell them. She wants to try a Domme. This in one thing the guys weren’t expecting and neither of them like it one bit. What will they come up with now? Beck and Seth let them know that she wants them both and that is best for her. Will they be able to share her? Will they be able to work together to help her and give her what she needs? This series is great. In this book Raine really starts to come into herself. She realizes that in order to get what she wants she has to let them in. That is may not be as bad as she thinks. She doesn’t believe that it will be easy for her or for them but she doesn’t want to come between them anymore. This maybe be the best for everyone involved. Macen has been keeping things in since his wife died all those years ago. This may help him get them off his chest and finally get over her death. Liam learns things he never that had happened while they shared Macen’s late wife while she was alive and lead to her suicide. Beck and Seth, Liam’s friend are there for her. They are her sounding board. She can talk about how she feels about her sessions with the guys and what revelations if any she has through those sessions. They all learn things in this book about each other and their selves. Not everything is easily processed. Some things that are revealed are hard to digest and take some time to process. They even cause some disagreements. Will they all be able to continue or will it all blow up in their faces. I can’t wait to read the third book in this series. I was given this book in return for an honest review.

If I could pick the underlying theme of this read it would be that Trust is the most important part of any relationship.  These three women once again take you on a sensual journey with two sexy alpha Doms and one bratty sub.  Raine wants to give her mind, body, and soul to the two men she loves but she fears rejection, and that fear nearly tears this threesome apart.   I have read a lot of BDSM novels and many many menage stories and learned something about myself as I lost myself in this read.  I do not have a submissive bone in my body.  I can't tell you the level of unease I had when they have her naked not only in front of them but in front of Beck and Seth.  I guess I have always been comfortable with the idea of a D/s relationship taking place in a BDSM club.  At a club the norm is that everyone is naked, but when you take a retreat to a cabin and then bring along some friends it made me completely uncomfortable.  Beck and Seth were there as her sounding board and to help teach her how to better communicate, however their presence not only made Raine uneasy at times but also myself.  She had to take her clothes of and submit to everyone in the house.  Seth and Beck never touched her but still.  This made me a bit crazy and I feel like that is part of what makes this such an incredible read.  When an author can evoke any emotion in a reader it is win.  These ladies do an incredible job. They do especially well in the sexual frustration portion where Raine has to rein it in but so do Liam and Macen during Raine's training.   The two leading Doms in this story also learn about trust and communication and grow closer as friends and begin to realize that Raine is not complete without them both.  Liam struggles with the idea of sharing Raine even after all the cards have been put on the table.  He also has doubts as to whether or not she will ever love him as much as she loves Macen.  Just when you think they have worked through this and come together as a solid trio, their blissful bubble pops and all hell breaks loose.  I am so looking forward to book three on February.

Raine Kendall can’t seem to let go of he past and accept that someone actually wants her.  Her time with Dom Liam O’Neill has been amazing and she is just waiting on something to go wrong.  And she can’t shake her feelings for her boss and first love Macen “Hammer” Hammerman.  The one night they shared together does nothing to ease that either.  She wants them both but can both Liam and Hammer put aside their differences and work together to give Raine what she needs???    This series is going to be great!  When I pick up the kindle to read it I can’t put it down.  Very well written and keeps your attention the entire time!  The scenes are HOT and the characters are smoking also!  Can’t wait for more!!!!

Would have been a 5 star...but the final paragraph changed all that! Another needless cliffhanger! Do any authors these days realize you can continue a story without disappointing their readers? (after all Bertrice Small did it for years!) If not for that huge mistake this would have been 5 stars! Great story, hot sex, and deep emotion. What a let down!!!!!
