Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher

"Lightning pace and full-color design will hook kids in a flash." -- Publishers Weekly
Children's Literature - Heather Christensen
Geronimo's sister Thea, a special correspondent for "The Rodent Gazette," continues the tradition of cheese-flavored mystery and adventure in this latest addition to the popular series. Readers will learn all about the archaeological wonders of ancient Egypt while following the adventures of the Thea Sisters—five former students of Thea who became fast friends—as they take part in an excavation searching for the ancient Treasure of the Sun. Like other books in this series, the story is full of mousy puns. Stilton sprinkles facts about ancient Egypt throughout the text, as well as hints and clues to help readers solve the mystery. Bright colored cartoon illustrations accompany nearly every page. Four to six words on each page are highlighted in colorful, stylized fonts, which may help keep reluctant readers engaged in the text. Certainly, the high jinks of the Thea Sisters will keep the pages turning. While formulaic, this fun, fast-paced story will entertain fans of the series. Parents and teachers may also appreciate the tidbits of information interspersed in the story, as well as the way the clues and hints encourage students to question and pay attention to details.

    I am the Thea Stilton!

Violet is super nice and is smart she knows just how to calm evrryone down to focse on the task at hand. Nicky is adventous and creative she enrengtic and is always ready for a new adventure! Paulina is great with computers and is just like Nicky; always ready for a new adventure! Pamela is funny and up lifting always there when you need her. Last but certianly not least is Colette, she may hate getting dirty and love the color pink she is just like Pamela; always there for you even if it means getting dirty. All of the Thea Sisters may come from, like, half way across the globe but really are true sisters at heart. After reading or being told all of their adventures so far I think my favorite one is Thea Stilton and the Dragons Code; when we all first meet! You should read it some time. Well bye for now! See you in my next book!

    Too small!

The story is one of the best in the Thea Stilton series but the pages are WAY too small. The pages are smaller than the screen and it is very hard to read the small print. There is no way to enlarge the page or the make the letters larger. I would not buy this. Save your eyes the work and dont buy this book!

    Cannot recommend as ebook format

On the Nook this "ebook" is simply a unreadable reproduction of the pages of the hardcopy. The text cannot be enlarged and is impossible to read. This series of books should not be bought on the Nook - save yourself the eyestrain and buy the hardcopy if you must. I am still awaiting for a response from B&N regarding this issue. Shame on them.
