Editorial Reviews

The themes and issues addressed in this volume include the Jewish understanding of space and place, rites of passage, the environment, and attitudes towards women in practiced religion and Jewish scripture. Kunin (theology, U. of Nottingham, UK) provides an analytical introduction, but the issues are discussed by several other Jewish scholars and practitioners to provide a more personal and phenomenological approach to this material, relating each subject from an internal perspective. Distributed by Continuum. Annotation c. Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
