excellent balanced book on the life of one of america's greatest ambassadors

this is an excellent book on one of the great figures not only in black history but american history as well....booker t. washington was certainly no uncle tom, and his personal strength and character come through in this book...washington was a special figure whose philosophy is just now catching eyes (as most true leaders are ahead of their time)...if you want a suberb book on racial reconciliation then this book is a must read
