This is a well researched book on the philosophy of Theodore Roosevelt. Teddy Roosevelt was a truly remarkable man, had more energy and wisdom than most, yet was also full of compassion, reflection, and true concern for his fellow man and a wide range of other things. Also, Roosevelt speaks from well rounded experiences, that most men don't have. You can see this in his quotes that Alan Axelrod pulled from documents and Roosevelt's writings. Axelrod makes the statement that Roosevelt is usually ranked among the top 5 U.S. presidents by historians. But, Teddy Roosevelt was so inspiring, he should really be ranked as #1 in every category, and as the type of president we Americans should expect to see in office all the time. Roosevelt is the American presidential standard for leadership, and no lesser person will do.
