Wes Martin, an accomplished cook, has worked behind the scenes and on camera for such shows as The Martha Stewart Show, Rachael Ray Show, Five Ingredient Fix, 30 Minute Meals and Chocolate with Jacques Torres.
Wes Martin is an accomplished cook, culinary producer, food stylist, and media consultant. He has worked with many of the biggest names in the television and food publishing world including Rachael Ray, Martha Stewart, Tyler Florence, Paula Deen, Jacques Torres, Jamie Oliver, and Nigella Lawson. He is a consultant, recipe developer and tester for major publishing houses including Random House, Clarkson Potter, Dorling Kindersley, Ten Speed Press and Sterling Publishing and has styled over 25 cookbooks. He is the co-author of the Star-Wars themed children’s cookbook entitled Darth Malt and More Galactic Recipes – The Star Wars Cookbook II, published by Chronicle Books in 2000. He is also a contributing writer for Douglas Rodriguez’s new edition of The Great Ceviche Book, republished in 2010.
Working both behind the scenes and on camera, Wes has produced, hosted, and styled cooking segments for cable and network television lifestyle media shows, including The Martha Stewart Show, The Rachael Ray Show, Cultivating Life, Five Ingredient Fix, 30 Minute Meals, Paula’s Home Cooking, and Chocolate with Jacques Torres. He spent two years as Martha Stewart’s kitchen manager and TV chef on her daytime talk show, which premiered in 2004.
Wes was trained in the professional pastry and desserts program at the accredited Tante Marie’s Cooking School in San Francisco, and was the opening general manager at Citizen Cake, the modern pastry shop and café created by renowned chef Elizabeth Faulkner. Having worked in virtually every genre of food, from Spanish tapas to chocolate sculptures to grilled ribs, Wes brings a refined, clear, and understandable approach to cooking at home.
