These reviews were obviously written by the author, or someone who knows him. This book is terrible. Borderline illiterate really. It's not a matter of taste, it's a matter of being unable to tell a story. I am baffled that anyone could find this an interesting or "wild" read. If you do you need to get out more. The author recounts stupid mindless mid-level criminal junkie stories that are rambling, disjointed, and poorly constructed. Apparently we are supposed to find them SCANDALOUS and fascinating. Its your basic junkie crap, nothing new. If you want to read about "wild rides" with sex, drugs, and crime, there are hundreds of books out there by former addicts that put this one to shame. I actually had to put down the book a couple of times not because I was scandalized, but because I was embarrassed for the author: hasn't he ever heard of spell check???? Don't waste your money people.

This "book" is littered with typos- clearly unedited, the schizophrenic ramblings are confusing and unlinear. The author of this disaster goes so far as to even mention writing "the book" in the middle of another "twisted tale". ("This has nothing to do with anything, but I had to put it in the book")I have never found such a collection of over used cliches. Don't waste your time or money on this abomination.

How is it that a book that is about murder, money, mayhem, sex, drugs & rocknroll can actually be about one mans path to enlightenment? it just is.when i say murder it makes those goodfellas from sopranos look like girlscouts. when i say sex, there are things that would make the Marque De Sade blush. & when i say drugs: keith richards, keith moon, robert downey jr have nothing on Kowalski! why are you still reading this?! Buy the book already!-all kidding aside it has been said that everyone has a book in them to share with the world. hopefully Mr Kudela has more than that!

This titillating debut novel by Christopher Kudela is irresistible; a richly absorbing tale of sex, drugs, friendships and lost souls. They Call Me Krud is written with heart and intensity and describes a world few ever glimpse. I devoured this book like a piece of chocolate cake. It was fascinating, juicy, compulsive - but also intelligent and very well written. The characters were satisfyingly realistic and complex, at times likeable and convincingly, humanly flawed. This book will have you giggling, gasping and turning the pages. A truly great read.

Rarely do I come across a book that I am literally not able to put down. They Call Me Krud is destined to become a best seller with its irreverent humor, ability to make you both love and hate Kowalski, all while leaving your head spinning in disbelief. As a writer, Kudela easily manages to overshadow other notable writers with similar books in this genre and this tale clearly passes the litmus test of what it takes to keep the reader focused and interested.

When I first laid eyes on the book They Call Me Krud I thought to myself, "Why would I read this book? What could possibly be behind that cover that would be of any use to me?" It was disturbing to look at. Fortunately, I was much too curious not to read it. I read a few pages and I was intrigued. I read three chapters and I was hooked. I read each and every page with intense anticipation of the next. I was disgusted, yet inspired. I despised Krud but wanted to know everything about him. After reading the final page, I was flooded with thoughts. To the point that I actually felt like screaming to Krud as he walked out on me - "Wait! Don't go. How can you just leave like this? We're not done here." For this reason, the book is truly brilliant. In fact, it's all of the things great books are made of. Yes, it's well written. Yes, it's edgy. But far more remarkable than any of those things, is that it holds your imagination hostage. It reaches in unexpectedly and grabs hold of your emotions, pulling them from you like a thief. Not only while you're reading the words on the page, but long after as you attempt to wrap your head around the whole thing. This book is nothing short of extraordinary as it boldly exposes how cold and ugly life can become. Yet at the very same time, gently reminds us of the possibility of hope and the true beauty underneath it all."

Let me start by saying that They call me Krud is like no other book I have ever read in my entire life, and consider myself quite a reader! There were times that I actually felt guilty reading this book, it questioned all of my Morals and what I believed to happen in the "real world". It was SHOCKING, CRAZY, FUNNY,SAD, WITTY,ENLIGHTING, AND EROTIC all rolled into one. Krud wrapped me right up into his world and I just could not put the book down. I caught myself saying "did this stuff really happen to this guy, and from a town I grew up?" several times. Needless to say Krud managed to have you loathe him, and love him without skipping a beat! I found myself really hoping that he would meet that one true love and leave the world that he dispised behind. I hope that everyone enjoys this read as much as I did, and I look forward to the next episode in the world of Krud!

I finished this book yesterday and was left wanting more. You can feel the authors spirit throughout the whole book. You feel as though you can relate to the author and his struggles. I was cheering for him the whole way. Kudela has an interesting past and I know has so much more to tell. Would love to read more from this author and will keep me eye out for more from him in the near future. Kudela has a promising future! Maybe in the big screen too!!

Fun read. I totally enjoyed it. Crazy stories, outrageous fun, but there is a moral to the story as well... This book shows that there is hope on the other side, that no matter how bad things can get, there is always a way to pull yourself out if you choose to do it.,,

They call me Krud is the first book that I've reasd in a long time that I just couldn't put down. I was consumed by the Kruds every move. I couldn't wait to find out what was on the next page. Full of emotions you want to love him, hate him and hope that he finds the love of his life...I think he has already..his daughter! I can't wait to read what comes next from this young and edgey author!!

I was very happy to have stumbled upon this book. It is extremely off beat and well written. I enjoyed reading a book in which the author was the main character. The book covers mystery, drug abuse, drug dealing, fighting, gun play, sex, hookers, dirty cops, feds, jail and the power of God. It's 50% Demon, 40% Angel and the rest is just truly hard to explain. Just when you think you know what's coming next, the author changes things around and develops something new. The suspense and plot twists are wonderful. This book hit a lot of home runs for me: It was written in the first person, it kept me on my toes, I smiled, frowned and was wide eyed sometimes all within the same paragraph. He uses his point of view so well to explain so many things in the book. I found it difficult to put this book down for activities as mundane as work or sleep. This book stands alone. As you might be able to tell, I LOVED it!
