Well written story about a woman from the city who goes west with her new doctor husband and learns that she can't always have what she wants as well as compassion for others.

Janette Oke did it again! One can never be disappointed in her stories and the depth of the characters that she brings to life. I could re-read this book over and over and always see something I missed. I highly recommend this book even if you do not read all of the books in this series. So warm and so loving is the only way to describe this awesome book.

This story was by far the best in a terrific series. The whole story doesn't have any room for improvement. The characters are so full of life. Yes have some tissues handy, but they are life tears. A must read.

I have read this book over and over again, and will more than likely continue to find an escape in this book. The story will touch your heart and you might just shed some tears. I first read this book in high school and still love it today, I would recommend it if you have a teenage daughter who enjoys reading...great values, morals and storylines.
