Meet the Author

BILL RIESER grew up in East Harlem, New York where he was considered a legend on the streets and basketball courts of New York City. His powerful slam dunk repertoire earned him the nickname 'White Jesus' and destined him for stardom in the NBA. But injuries in college and a lifestyle of excess and anger brought him to the brink of personal and professional destruction. Through the incredible, unconditional love of his wife, Carolynn and the faithful prayers of her church he found and accepted the Lord as his Savior. Bill is the author of They Called Me White Jesus, and is currently the Director of Recovery Ministries at Heartland Community Church in Rockford, Illinois. He and Carolynn have been married for 25 years and live in Rockford. They have one daughter.

    White Jesus

Enjoyed very much. A little deep in the religion and could have talked more of his basketball prowess. I had never heard of Bill Reiser and certainly enjoyed this read.

    Inspiring and Compelling!

This is an awesome book! I picked it up and couldn't put it down until I had read the whole thing! The author shares his real life story how God was faithful to pursue him and work in his life even while he was still a prodigal. It is a story of how God still today can take ordinary people and accomplish extraordinary things in their life if they will just learn to pray and trust him. Easy to read and to the point- it will make you smile, make you laugh, make you weep tears of joy, and give you hope- no matter what circumstances you may be facing in your life. I highly recommend it!
