Meet the Author

Marci G. Fox, PhD, is a senior faculty member for the Beck Institute for Cognitive Therapy and Research's training program. Leslie Sokol, PhD, is director of education at the Beck Institute for Cognitive Therapy and Research. A highly acclaimed lecturer, Sokol is a licensed psychologist and cognitive therapy expert who maintains a private practice in the Philadelphia suburbs.

Aaron T. Beck, MD, is the president of the non-profit Beck Institute for Cognitive Therapy and Research, and University Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania. He is a graduate of Brown Universityand Yale Medical School. Dr. Beck developed cognitive therapy in the early 1960s as a psychiatrist at the University of Pennsylvania. He is the author of numerous books, including Cognitive Therapy and the Emotional Disorders and Cognitive Therapy of Depression.

Judith S. Beck, PhD is the Director of the Beck Institute for Cognitive Therapy and Research, Clinical Associate Professor of Psychology in Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania, and past president of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy. Dr. Beck is is the daughter of the influential founder of Cognitive Therapy, Aaron T. Beck, M.D. She is the author of "The Beck Diet Solution".
