Overview

To be called by God to become a preacher of the Christian Gospel is a wonderful thing, but it is also quite scary. What does it involve, and how do we set about it? Where do we find the resources we need in order to write and deliver a sermon? Do we have to be a particular kind of person to be a preacher, and what do preachers need to know? These and related issues are the subject of this book. Written by an experienced preacher who is passionate about preaching, it is not a 'how to do it' book. Rather, it seeks to stimulate thought about the nature of preaching itself. It will be of use both to those who are standing on the threshold of a preaching ministry and to those who have been doing it for a long time.
