All Music Guide - Stephen Thomas Erlewine
Third Eye Blind's eponymous debut is catchier than the average post-grunge album, and that fact alone reveals a lot about the band. Instead of relying on standard, plodding grunge influences, Third Eye Blind draw heavily from the simple hook-laden traditions of classic arena rock, which makes the album more immediate. Unfortunately, this also makes it a little simplistic -- the group can craft a naggingly memorable hook, as evidenced by the single "Semi-Charmed Life," but they aren't always able to fashion them into songs. Amazing

This is the best album I have ever heard. It never fails to make me feel good when I'm listening to it. I never ever get tired of it. Stephan Jenkins is an amazing lyricist. I can't even fully describe how great, or underrated, this band truly is.

    GREATEST CD EVER!!

This is probably the most overlooked band out there, and this cd shows exactly what i see in them. The great guitar rifts and instrumentals prove the band to be an all around effort and more than just amazing lyrics. Besides the typical radio hits of "Jumper" and "Semi-Charmed Life," my favorites were "God of Wine" and the genius work, "Narcolepsy." I don't know why I've never heard Narcolepsy on the radio but it is probably the best song on the whole cd. Good work Third Eye Blind

    Awesome!

I never get bored of this CD. Most of the time when you buy a CD, you only end up liking like 3 or 4 songs. With this CD, I liked every single one!! I'd definitely recommend it.

Third Eye Blind is the best group i have ever listened to. I couldnt stop thinking about them after i saw them play at an nba "read to achieve" event. You have to buy this cd. I have no doubt that you will like it if you listen to any type of rock. Stephan Jenkins is a genius when it comes to music he is a well rounded musician.

    My Favorite Album

This CD is a must-have for anyone who listens to rock at all. Ever single song is awesome (very rare for CDs). But you have to listen to it for awhile to really appreciate the genius of the music - really listen to the lyrics, because there's so many layers of meaning to the songs that a lot of people don't see. 3eb has a way of writing lyrics with a huge amount of depth and setting it to a catchy tune that can distract the listener from the darker meaning. My favorite tracks on here are "Motorcycle Drive By" and "God of Wine," but my favorites change quite often as it is difficult to decide between so many great songs. So anyways, go out and get this album if you don't already have it, and really take some time to sit down and listen, because Stephan Jenkins has produced a brilliant compilation.

It's the best cd I own!

This album is truly at the top of my top ten favorites list. The main reason I got hooked on this album is because I went to one of their concerts. Third Eye Blind played a two-hour long set that was crazy! I liked the music so much that I went out a week later and got the album. Their music is a cross between punk and pop, they rely on only guitar, bass, drums, and vocals. The lead singer sounds like he has a lisp, but I like the originality in his voice. Due to the fact that he's from San Francisco, made me want to get the album even more. In fact, their first music video from the album was filmed in San Francisco. The lyrics are very creative and they seem as if they are very personal. I am sure that anyone could find one song in this cd that they could relate to. That's why everyone should go out and borrow it from someone and have a listen.

    Best Album In The World

This is probably the best album ever compiled and if you have already purchased it you'll know why! The best song if you listen to the lyrics is 'Background' are exceptional and I like the last sentance in the song, if you truely know what the song is on about then you'll appreciate the twist of words at the very end! There are other good songs on this fantastic album eg semi-charmed life and many more. Buy this and if your not hooked after the first time of hearing you're either deaf, dumb or probably even both. So press play and enjoy sheer quality!
