About the Author

Laurie Allenis a West Texas playwright whose first play, Gutter Girl, won the Indian River Players Festival of One-Act Plays Competition. She has participated in developing original one-act plays for Hood Junior High in Odessa, Texas. Her plays have been read and produced at The Gettysburg College, the Globe of the Great Southwest, and the Pasadena Little Theatre. Allen's plays for teens have enjoyed wide success across the United States with many productions. She has had skits, duets, and plays published by various publishing companies. Many of her competition pieces have gone all the way to national speech and forensics competitions.
