    Another O'Malley saga

Just love Velvet and her mother. They are determined and their adventures epic. Velvet more impetuous but an excellent character. I think I liked Akbar a little more than Alex even though I liked them both. And I had forgotten some connections with Skye and Henry Navarre. I liked the inter-weaving from past to present.

    very good

After reading some of Small's other books, it is great that Akbar peacefully let her go. Very enduring!

    Incredible!

This book darn near had me in tears. The love that Velvet finds with Akbar, the Grand Mughal is beautiful. When he makes the honorable decision to let her go back to England and Alex, I felt his pain. Ms. Small's writing is so descriptive that it is easy to visualize the characters, the scenes, and what they are going through. I highly recommend it.
