This Is Alabama Football

All Music Guide - Steve Huey
Amounting to an extremely specific version of ESPN's Jock Jams series, This Is Alabama Football compiles crowd-pleasing tunes commonly played over the PA at University of Alabama football games. The main difference from the ESPN series -- aside from the fact that key plays, as called by Crimson Tide radio announcers John Forney and Eli Gold are interspersed between each song -- is that there's a much heavier concentration on oldies rather than dance songs. Of course, Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Sweet Home Alabama" is here, and what Crimson Tide collection would be complete without Blondie's "The Tide Is High"?
