Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Dia L. Michels
This is a tale about a boy who takes his teddy bear out for dessert, only to find himself involved in messiness, mayhem, and mystery. His dog starts the craziness by tripping some of the customers, but then ends up saving the day after a bad little girl makes off with the bear. This fun, rhyming book is the fourth in the "This Is The Bear" series.
School Library Journal
PreS-K-Rollicking rhyme tells of a special outing gone awry. A boy and his bear are in a tea room ordering dessert; his dog peers in from the sidewalk. A girl with curly hair cops the bear. The faithful pup pursues her and soon bear is safe in the arms of the boy once again. Framed watercolor-and-ink drawings tell far more of the story than the text with details and delightfully expressive characters adding asides in cartoon balloons. The clever canine, always boy's best friend, not only saves the day, but nearly steals the show. Great fun for the very young.-Virginia Opocensky, formerly at Lincoln City Libraries, NE
