A very interesting book that answers 500 questions people ask about the first 5 books of the Bible. It offers a window into the values of the Jewish Rabbinic Society and their opinions about worship. Anyone wanting to learn more about the Jewish customs as they relate to worship will enjoy this book. I found this book of particular interest since it explains what the customs have been in the last millennium in regards to rules of hand copying the manuscripts. It also presents a clear presentation of the different classes of Hebrew Texts the Jewish people use today. It is well indexed and documented for further study and use. It left me challenged to make my own Hebrew copy by hand to experience the process and get more familiar with the Hebrew Scriptures themselves. Was this review helpful?
