Ministers, Teachers of the Word, Pastors, A Must Read.

You have never understood Spiritual Warfare until you read this book. It is set up in fictional drama, but not so. This is real and alive today. I have a better and more in depth understanding for the vital need for prayer and what goes on in the heavenlies.

    A must read.

A great way to understand the seen and the unseen, the good and evil in people and yourself. If you're not a Christian you might want to rethink that choice after this.

Expand your thinking beyond this earthly plane.

This is an excellent, gripping book that grabbed me by the end of the first page. It flowed as well as any Steven King book I've read, but with a deeper more relevant meaning. I was driven to find out how things would end, so I had a very hard time putting the book down. It provided the same excitment, if not more, as a blockbuster action movie. A must read for any person of faith.

    Awesome Work!

Never before has it been made so clear that we are in a spiritual battle all the time, whether we are aware of the battle or not. This book, next to the Bible could not paint a more perfect picture of spiritual warfare. It is a must read for every 'True Christian!'

    Fantastic Read!

This book was one of the best I had ever read. When people first told me about Frank Peretti's books, I was a little skeptical. I thought that the topics would leave me with nightmares or being afraid no matter where I was by putting a face to the spiritual warfare that occurs all around us every day. I was wrong. This book became one of my favorites a few chapters in!

Peretti's writing style is phenomenal. He puts everyday occurrences into perspective in a HUGE way! The plot becomes very dramatic, very thick, but he never loses the reader. Every little thing ties together in a way that is readily understandable and very deep.

This book is one of the most spiritual I have read! Strongly recommended!

One of the most profound books you'll ever read

The first 2 chapters were somewhat spooky, but then the story begins to come to together. This book will open your eyes as to what is really going on the world today and you'll be changed forever. The truth will set you free.

A Powerful Novel of Spiritual Warfare

This book is amazing. I'm a forteen year-old Christian. Lately, life's been tough. This book has really opened my eyes to several truths. The novel is about a struggling minister and a newspaper reporter. As the book unwinds, we see that angels and demons are fighting over the souls of the townspeople where these main characters live. Going through a tough time, it helps me realize that God cares, and he wants to help me. A highly-effective novel,'This Present Darkness' really kept me interested and blessed my soul, all at the same time.

    Spiritual Warfare

Awesome. Just awesome. This Present Darkness is an amazing and thrilling description of spiritual warfare. It shows how the battle between God's and Satan's forces is waged. It also shows the importance and power of prayer. This book has shown me many critical things that I can put into practice. Hurrah for Frank Peretti!

    OUTSTANDING

This was one the best books I have ever read. My Pastor recommended that the congregation read it to give us a better insight of the power of prayer. Once I started reading this book, I couldn't put it down! The battle between angels and demons was great and backed up by scripture. Even though this book is fiction, I understood the importance of prayer for Christians. I would highly recommend that anyone struggling in their prayer life read this book!

    Great Stuff

This book has opened my eyes to spiritual warfare. Now its so much easier to have an idea of what to pray for when combating the powers of darkness. It also helped me understand how Satan controls the daily affairs of our world. I pray that all readers would get a chance to see the incomparable power at our (christians)disposal if we remain holy.

    Truly Life Changing

No book has ever affected me as profoundly as this one. You don't just read about spiritual warfare in this book, you actually experience it. If this doesn't make you more diligent in your prayer life, nothing will. Everyone I recommended it to agrees that it is a definate 'must read'.

    A whole new Light

I loved this book. I bought this book along with Piercing the Darkness and read them back to back. The battle between the angels and the demons is exceptionally brilliant. This fiction book effected the way I see everyday events in a whole new light.
