Dialogue was very boring.

I enjoyed this book from beginning to end. This Time Around is a wonderful love story. The love Jake has for Nora is a once in a lifetime kind of love, the kind you hold onto and never let go of. This book will not disappoint. I read the first chapter of Break Away and it was fantastic, I am reading that next! Bravo Ellie Grace!

This Time Around was the first book I had read by Ellie Grace, so I had no idea what to expect. Before starting this book, I’d been reading a lot of dark and damaged love stories so this book was a much needed breath of fresh air. This is such a sweet story, a hearts and flowers kind of love. This Time Around is a story about a second chance at love. Nora and Jake fell in love in high school, until Jake broke Nora’s heart. She leaves for college in New York City and never looks back. Four years later, her best friend from high school, Susie, is getting married to Ethan, Jake’s best friend. As Susie’s maid of honor, she has no choice but to head home and face the love she left behind. Nora and Jake are all grown up and living completely different lives, but their love still burns hot underneath all the pain and anger they both carry. I really liked them both as characters, but I liked them together so much more. They complemented each other. I enjoyed watching the characters both grow in each other’s presence. These two weren’t necessarily opposites in every way, but they made each other better. I enjoyed seeing their transformations. We get to see the characters in many different settings, which allowed me to really understand and feel their dynamic. Seeing their relationship juxtaposed with Susie and Ethan’s added a lot to the story as well. Since Susie and Ethan had been together since high school, we got a glimpse into how it could have been for Nora and Jake. Overall I thought this was a great, sweet story of defining yourself and getting a second chance at love. This Time Around will make you smile and leave you with a warm and fuzzy feeling.

The storyline was excellent but the writing was awful. The dialogue was not very good and the writing style needs a lot of work. I enjoyed the characters and their story but found myself skimming constantly just to find out what happens without having to actually read all of the useless words.

Jake and Nora's story is full of adventure, courage, love, passion, trust and so much more. The author does a great job bringing you into the story and guiding you to feel their emotions. The book is 200 pgs on nook. There are a couple slower moving areas in the book but it is a great book overall and well worth reading. Enjoy :)

You know those really cute really sweet books about a second chance at love all over again? Yep, this was one and it was ADORABLE!  I loved it and I loved reading it! I was such a sweet story, and Nora and Jake made such great characters. I totally felt like I was a part of the story and a part of their world. Ellie Grace has written a perfect first novel and I really loved reading it! What a great story to dive into!

Nothing remotely original in this predictable story down to the parents sabatoging the relationship. I skimmed most of the book hoping for at least one twist. There isn't even an example of why the hero was such a 'bad' boy.

This Time Around is a light and easy to get into story. It's a sweet romance that I found to be enjoyable while predictable. Nora has always done what was expected of her, except when it came to Jake. When she leaves him behind after feeling betrayed by him she continues to pursue the dreams laid out for her; all the while ignoring her own. Jake, a reformed "bad boy" has followed his own dreams and made something of himself. When they're thrown back together for a wedding of two friends their old flames ignite and this time they do what they want and not what others expect. Nora and Jake were pretty ordinary characters. Their romance is hot and steamy and they definitely have strong feelings for each other but there is nothing about This Time Around that stands out from any other New Adult Contemporary Romance. I didn't really connect with either of them on any level and at times I felt myself pushing forward in the story. Susie, Nora's best friend and the bride to be, was kind of wishy washy to me. I felt like one minute she was throwing this couple back together and the next she was making sure it was the right move. My favorite character was probably Ethan, her fiance and Jake's best friend. If you're looking for a cute romance filled with steamy scenes and an easy to follow plot, this one is for you. It's a good book that I definitely enjoyed but was not wowed by and will recommend to some looking for a light read!

Impressive.  I am an avid reader, usually of well-known authors, such as Nora Roberts, Sandra Brown, James Patterson.  I don't read a lot of new authors, but this one caught my interest.  From the first page, I didn't want to put it down.  I finished in less than 2 days.  It is worth reading.  I'm looking forward to reading Olivia's story.   Thank you Ellie Grace for putting my faith in new/younger authors.
