Overview

Mickelle Hansen never realized marriage could be so challenging. Her husband's epilepsy has caused him to become cynical and verbally abusive, but with love in her heart and strength from her Heavenly Father, Mickelle is determined to make her marriage work. Then the worst happens. Can she ever pick up the shattered pieces of her life?

Meanwhile, Rebekka Massoni arrives in America to work for handsome widower Damon Wolfe, leaving all her hopes and dreams back in her beloved France. She has loved and idolized Marc Perrault since she was five years old, but he can offer only her friendship in return.

Can Rebekka forget Marc and learn to love another man? Both Damon and Samuel Bjornenburg, successful CEO of Corban International, hope to win a place in her heart, but Damon's daughter doesn't like Rebekka, and Samuel doesn't share her faith. To make matters worse, Rebekka's heart is still breaking over Marc. Suddenly she must make the most important decision of her entire life. Will it be the right one?

Join Mickelle and Rebekka as they search for love and self-discovery. This tender story of heartbreak, healing, and faith is one you will not soon forget.

If you love this book, be sure to follow Mickelle's continuing story in Bridge to Forever and Rebekka's story in Ties that Bind and Twice in a Lifetime, also by Rachel Ann Nunes. (For readers who loved the Ariana series, This Time Forever bridges the time between Ariana: A Glimpse of Eternity and Ties that Bind.)

Meet the Author

Rachel Ann Nunes learned to read when she was four, beginning a lifetime fascination with the the written word. She avidly devoured books then and still reads everything she can lay hands on, from children's stories to science articles. She began writing in the seventh grade and is now the author of thirty-six published books, including the popular Ariana series and the picture book Daughter of a King. Her most recent novels are Final Call (An Autumn Rain Novel), Tell Me No Lies, and Before I say Goodbye.

Rachel and her husband, TJ, are the parents of three boys and four girls. Rachel loves camping with her family, traveling and meeting new people, and, of course, writing. As a stay-at-home mother of seven, it isn't easy to find time to write, but she will trade washing dishes or weeding the garden for an hour at the computer any day! Her only rule about writing is to never eat chocolate at the computer. "Since I love chocolate and writing," she jokes, "my family might never see me again." Rachel writes Monday through Friday in a home office, often with a child on her lap. She takes frequent breaks from writing to build Lego towers, practice reading, or go swimming with the kids.

This had a good story, but the further into the story you got, the more it pushed the LDS/Mormon faith as being the only possible way to be happy. Not true. It had a lot of editing errors, meaning you had to read before and after to figure out what this sentence was supposed to be. The story was good and I kept reading to the end, even with the typing/writing errors.

Mormons are not Christian. This book should not be considered a Christian romance.

Congratulations to the author for tackling some real and difficult problems faced by LDS women and men as they struggle to keep those relationships within the teachings of their religion. The thoughts and emotions were covered with realism and honesty. Bravo for a job well done. I look forward to reading more by this author.

I am so happy to get a book that doesn't have so many explicit sex scenes that I skip pages to avoid them. This book is so well written and keeps your attention. It has so many interesting players that you don't want the book to end.

Loved it. Was hooked on it at chapter 1. It didn't push a religion as preceived, just showed how ones belief is important in their entire life. Going on to the next book hope its as addictive as this one.

This book is not for thouse who will be easily offended by religious overtures. God plays a strong role in Rebekka and Mickele's lives. I found it interesting to read about someone from a different faith; I like learning about the similarities and differences between myself and someone of a different culture or belief system. The writer did a great job of pulling me into the story and keeping me interested to the end. My only suggestion would be a family tree at the beginning to make it easier to keep track of who is related to who! That was a little difficult during the first few chapters. Other than that, I loved the book and look forward to reading the sequels.

I really like this author. She kept things moving at a good pace. I was never bored. It had a good story line & character development. Sweet love story! The characters are Mormon... just FYI. It was in the faith based fiction so I just assumed it was Christian but it didn't keep me from really enjoying it!

One page - you think "this is going to be a good book." The next, "ho ho hum, boring."

Enjoyed

This book was good but baffling. I never heard of a forever family in heaven. We go to heaven to worship God not to be with an earthly family. We also pray before decision making, not after. Still a good read. Kathy

Way to many different loves going on. But great book. Loved it

Honestly i struggled a tiny bit at the beginning, putting reading off for just a bit longer. But after a certain point it just got easier for me to read and then i simply enjoyed it and started rushing to the end. I had no problem with the religion being different from my own, though some people might find that a reason not to read.

Slow and a bit forced in its development. Just grew tired of it.
