In the wake of the final album by Winger's original lineup, 1993's Pull, not much was heard from singer/bassist Kip Winger; it appeared as though he had realized the sudden shift in the hard rock climate and opted for a hiatus. Instead of rounding up the troupes once more when he was ready to return, Winger chose to launch a solo career, resulting in 1997's This Conversation Seems Like a Dream.
