Meet the Author

In 1944, a country vicar, the Reverend W Awdry, wrote the stories he had been telling his two young sons about a group of engines with very recognizable personalities. In 1945, the first book featuring Thomas and the other Really Useful Engines was published, and in the 60 years since, the tales of these friendly engines have become beloved classics around the world.

    just OKAY

This has very small print on the Nook, and when you stretch to make the page bigger, you loose some of the words. Kind of hard to use. You have to read this book to your kids. Still, it kept my grandson happy for a few minutes.

    Misleading!

Does not stretch or zoom in. Not what the description leads you to believe.

We love the Thomas series books

My 2 year old grandson loves this book. As always, Thomas has a challenge to master, and manages to master his fear of high places here. He is kind to his other train friends too.

    Courage is the theme!

Great story for Thomas lovers; shows leadership, courage, and support for all characters. Great for 2 and over. This grandma liked it lots.

    Do not waste a Penny!

This book doesNOT have "read to me" and as such should be labeled as a nookbook NOT a NOOKKIDS title. Very dissapointing purchase. I woukd have soent the money on anither title if I had known.

    Good Book...Just not What i expected. :(

My son Loves Thomas regardless what I think. It says it is a hardcover book but it's actually a board book. And with time they wear out faster than your real hardcover books. Also i just bought a Thomas And Friends book that is double the size, has better pictures (glossy), and is a hardcover book for about the same price. So for me it was kind of a rip off getting this book. But it does have a nice story and my son still loved it.
