Meet the Author

Thomas Florschuetz was born in Zwickau, East Germany, in 1957. He lived in East Berlin from 1981 until 1988, when he moved to West Berlin. In 2000, he was the Artist in Residence at Villa Aurora, Pacific Palisades, California. His works are part of several public and private collections and have been exhibited many times. Florschuetz has been awarded numerous prizes, including the first prize for new European photography, the Dorothea von Stetten Prize, and the German Criticsi Award for Fine Arts.
