In the early 1940s, a loving father crafted a small, blue, wooden engine for his son, Christopher. The stories that this father, the Reverend W Awdry, made up to accompany this wonderful toy were first published in 1945.

Envious of the children who are fishing in the river near the railroad tracks, Thomas the tank engine finds a way to enjoy the same activity.

Dont download if you have Pandigital - Format not supported

For some reason all NOOK kids books will not download and is not supported on a Pandigital Reader when it states it will. You will have to call Barnes and Noble to get your money back...they will tell you to update your pandigital then restart it...then it should be in your library. Not true and I am very upset. There is no way to differentiate what books will work and which ones will not.

Pictures = Awesome Text = Just a little too simple

My 2 year old son loves the pictures, but I think the text is just a bit too simple and silly.
