Walt's very differant take on Thor, wonderfully written and drawn. Thanks to Marvel for reprinting this in one volume. Re-colored too from the looks of it.

I laid eyes upon one of the issues back in the 80's, & was intrigued of a sudden departure of the comic book from its usual run. Once I opened the book I was greeted with a resonating "DOOM!" of a hammer smashing into an anvil! YES! This was a metaphor for what was to come- Thor was RESHAPED into a whole different perspective. It reminded me of the first time I ate a wasabi whole for the first time, w/o knowing how powerful a kick it had. And , yes, Walt Simonson's Thor hit me as hard as that hammer did the anvil. I was hooked, mesmerized, and became a fan from that moment on. This collection is a work of art, love, & an unparalleled take on the character. Kudos!

This is a must have for any Thor fan out there. The shear joy of owning and enjoying the exquisite illustration by Walter is electrifying like by being hit by Thor's hammer. Enjoy!!!!!!! Aditya Shah
