Overview

Quinn Robbins was prepared for her mother to be angry. After all, she’d disappeared for two days without warning; to visit the world on the other side of the Dusk Gate that nobody else knows exists.
What she wasn’t prepared for was seeing her mother calmly sitting there, waiting for her return, as if Megan Robbins somehow knew the secret, too.
And she really wasn’t prepared to have her mother not speaking to her, not sharing whatever she knows.
Now, with her mother not talking, her best friend mad at her for disappearing, and her boyfriend, Zander, suspicious and confused, Quinn is left with only one person to turn to.
William Rose had told Quinn she was making a mistake; that lying to her family and friends and risking everything to visit his family in a world where she didn’t belong was only going to lead to heartache.
But that was before – before she’d dropped everything to be there for him when he needed her. Before her strange dreams and her special brand of persistence had helped rescue his brother. Before the kiss that Quinn and William aren’t talking about.
And before he discovered that everything he ever thought he knew was wrong.
Now, they’re on the verge of discovering a secret about their pasts that may just change everything about their futures, and Quinn and William are both about to find themselves deciding between who they always thought they were, and who they’re meant to be.
And they just might be making some of those decisions together.

GREAT SERIES! I highly recommend this one!

For lack of a better word the series, in my humble opinion, was perfect. Quinn is a great character! She is more or less thrown into this new world where she is expected to make decisions that no 16-17 year old should have to make. Throughout this book you watch her grow up and become quite the lady! The family she discovers in this other world was incredible. I have never been so in love with so many characters. There are 13 children in this family and the love they have for one another was one of things that kept me reading this book. It was so neat to see the relationship between all of them. It was equally as nice to see how the parents were with the children. I felt that all the characters were developed to the point where I could easily picture them in my head and even hear how they would sound when they spoke and the different mannerisms they might use. There is a love story in this series… actually there are quite a few but the main one is between Quinn and William. I really enjoyed watching their relationship blossom in these books. The series is much more than a love story though. It's about making decisions that might not be what you intended for your life but having the faith that you are doing the right thing. I would consider this for an age group of 12 and up. There was nothing inappropriate in these books. It reminded me of the old movies where things are implied but not shown. Our oldest daughter will start middle school next year and I would have no problem allowing her to read these. In fact I will be encouraging her too. I really look forward to the day when I can introduce her to all these characters that I have been reading.

This is a fantastic YA series. I read the first two books for tours and was disappointed when more tours for the rest of the series didn't come up. I ended up getting this book and have been waiting for an opportunity to read it. It took about eight hours of interrupted reading, but I loved every minute of it. Now I am looking at the next two books in the series, wondering when I can find time to read them as well.

The story is about a girl named Quinn who in the first book discovered a gate to another world by spying on William, a boy from her high school. She learns that William is not from Earth, but has been spending time in her world in order to learn modern medicine. Her own curiosity won over her better judgement. She found herself in Eirentheos, William's world. Throughout book one and two, Quinn learns a lot about who she is and who she wants to be. She also learns that there is something her mother has been keeping from her when she goes home to find her mother waiting next to the gate. This book is all about that secret. Quinn finds out that she has a deeper connection to William's world than she ever imagined possible. She is pointed in the direction of ending her relationship with a boy on Earth because of all the lies she has been telling people, but also because she is starting to have feelings for William. Author Breeana Puttroff has you on the edge of your seat wanting to know exactly what is going to happen between Quinn and William. Her descriptions of young love will have your heart pumping as hard as if you were reading an adult romance novel. It's is endearing, innocent, and something we all dream about feeling. Their blossoming love will lead you further on a journey of discovering what the future will hold for Quinn. Will she decide to remain in Eirentheos or return to Earth? Will she choose announce her courtship to the prince or leave behind all the people of his world she has grown to love for the family she grew up with? I promise that when you are finished reading this book, you will want more!
