    Mixed Up!

This book was outstanding, but the numbers were way off! Personal Ensign, a undfeated filly, beat colts, broke her leg and still won!#48! Ha! She should like 7, Citation? He should be #1!! Secretariat should be like 11! Man O' War should not be 1! More like 100!! Just some thoughts.

    Great History

This book is filled with amazing history about the worlds greatest horses ever to reach the track! I was very happy to see the older horses on the book to! My only thing is that some of the trainers sounded a bit stuck up. Citations trainer said he was better than Secretariat because. Sec couldn't run in mud which is inacuate. Sec. won a race in the mud by 14 lenghts!

    Man O' War the great

This is a wonderful book with great pictures and info. It seems unfortunate that very few people alive today remember what a great racehorse Man O' War was and even succeeding as a sire with his son War Admiral. It seems unfair to compare him to the more recent horses as they came well after his time. But after all he was voted Horse of the Century......

    Girls Rule!

I loved this book! The only suggestion (ok, suggestionS) are that Man o' War and Secreatariat should be switched and Ruffian, who killed herself by running on a broken leg trying to catch Foolish Pleasure (talk about being game!) should be bumped up to second place, and everyone else should have been moved back a place. O, and maybe Assault, the clubfooted comet should've been switched with Tom Fool- just saying! Anyway, I counted up all the fillies, and I came to a grand total of 25. (By the way, where was Winning Colors?) That's 1/4 of all the horses. (And I didn't even count the geldings, because their not technically boys, but that means that alot of racing's heroes were really heroins. Just saying. So, this book was really imformative, and I would totally recommend to a racing fan.

    The Order is Wrong...

This was a really great book, and I totally loved it, BUT Secretariat and Man O War should have been switched, and Seabiscuit, he beat War Admiral, and is still WAY behind him (25) He should have been 7th or something! OMAHA, a Triple Crown winner was 61!!!! WHAT???? And, I think that Genuine Risk should have been WAY higher up... like in the 30's or 40's because she alomost won the TRiple Crown, you know... Oh ya, and who was Colin?? He was #15, and I have NEVER even heard of him... which is wierd... all in all, this book ROCKED!

    Wonderful book

Being in Thoroughbred racing most of my life, this book had no disappointing parts in it (other then the fact that Man 'O War is over Secretariat..I mean..come'on.) But the photographs and details of each and every wonderful racehorse is simply gawking. Highly recommended.

    great book

I thought this was a great book but Secretariat should have been number one. It has some information and pictures for the all of the Top 100 Racehorses of the 20th Century. The top 20 have more information and pictures then the others. It also has the bloodlines and the racing record of all the horses.

    Guts and Glory

Man O'War RULES! Secretariat a close 2nd! What a match race that would have been! This is an intriguing, spellbounding account of 100 Thoroughbreds that all horse lovers will enjoy. It is unique in giving some genealogy facts but doesn't go back very far. The first 20 horses get more showtime than the rest but every horse is depicted with its own personality and hutzpah. I keep this book on the coffee table and read it almost every night, over and over, it's that fascinating. But then I've been a horse lover since Fury and My Friend Flicka aired when TV was still B&W and oh, so sweet, just like this book! Enjoy!

    Horselover

I really think Secretariat should have been first. If Man o' War hadn't have been first (and Secretariat had) then I would have given this book five stars

Excellent chronicle of horse racing's best!

The book is outstanding and is a must read for any thoroughbred fan. Secretariat should be number one...his Triple Crown times will likely never be broken.

    Great Book!

This book is wonderful! I definitely recommend it. The stories and pictures are great. The choice for #1 is tough. Man o' War and Secretariat both deserve it!

    Good!!!

This book is great and very educational. By the way, Man o' War is right to be first. After all, his sons and daughters generaly did much better than Secretariet's. Any way, they're both great, the book and the horses!!!

    wondeful.......five stars all the way

This book is fantastic. The pictures are great and reading the history of each horse is exciting. I don't think man o war should be first. I think secretariat should be first. I also think ruffian should have been in the top 20. She was quite a horse. I didn't agree with everything, but i still love the book. It definetly deserves five stars.
