Unlike many Goblin stories, this one did not have gory scenes of warfare between them and Men or Elves.  Instead, it draws the reader into a situation where a young goblin is in danger and the instinct to help him becomes almost unbearable.
I for one will be reading more stories by this author.

    ugh

Im not sure what to say other than this is not a good short story. I understand that this is the prelude to the series but its not an attention grabber at all. It took me awhile to get into this to finish and was thankful when I did. Sorry Jaq. Hawkins not good at all.
