Emily Sundberg has her life all laid out. She has a respectable job as a teacher and an idea of whom she should marry.  But does God have a better plan?

Emily Sundberg considers herself a proper young lady of the twentieth century. But a decade ago she behaved more like a tomboy. So when the neighbor’s grandson came to visit one summer when she was thirteen, they became fast friends. Emily even got her first kiss--quite by accident.

Unfortunately Jake Edgerton told all the boys something else. Rumors circulated, and Emily caved from embarrassment and guilt. Meanwhile Jake returned home to Fallon, Montana and she never saw or heard from him again.

Over the years Emily has worked hard to prove to her peers and the people of Manitowoc, Wisconsin that, despite past mistakes, she is an upstanding young woman, one worthy of being a schoolteacher--and possibly Andy Anderson's wife. But even with the passing of time, Emily has never forgotten Jake and how he nearly ruined her life…

And now he's a US deputy marshal and he’s back in town!

Emily Sundberg likes to be in control of her life. It's taken many years to shed the tomboy stigma of her past and instead be known as a proper young lady and schoolteacher.

Jake Edgerton returns to Manitowoc, Wisconsin to bury his grandfather. What he hadn't counted on was meeting his childhood playmate.

Threads of Love is a delightful turn of the century tale that will sweep you away on a current of excitement as Emily and Jake butt heads and rekindle an old friendship.

Andrea Boeshaar in her new book, "Threads of Love" Boo

Andrea Boeshaar in her new book, "Threads of Love" Book Three in the Fabric of Time series published by Realms brings us into the life of Julianna Wayland in 1877.

From the back cover: Emily Sundberg has her life all laid out. She has a respectable job as a teacher and an idea of whom she should marry. But does God have a better plan?

Emily Sundberg considers herself a proper young lady of the twentieth century. But a decade ago she behaved more like a tomboy. So when the neighbor's grandson came to visit one summer when she was thirteen, they became fast friends.

But even with the passing of time, Emily has never forgotten Jake and how he nearly ruined her life...

And now he's a US deputy marshal and he's back in town!

The three books in this wonderful series have been set between 1848 and 1900 and have showed us the lives of three generations of the Sundberg family who have settled in Wisconsin from Norway. I have enjoyed each of these books and am sorry to see this series come to an end. This time up the focus is on Emily Sundberg. Emily has a plan for her life. God also has a plan for her life. It is just the details of each plan do not align. She thinks Jake ruined her reputation by his big talking and then he left town. Now she has spent the years trying to build back her reputation, be a school teacher and get married. The only problem is Jake has returned. "Threads of Love" is a story of love, forgiveness and restoration. I like the way Ms. Boeshaar writes. She is an accomplished author who knows how to deliver true to life dialog and create characters that you fall in love with. The love story between Emily and Jake is a lot of fun and this book is filled with plenty of action to keep you turning the pages. This is an excellent read! I recommend it.

Transported to 1902, the reader quickly gets caught up in Emily

Transported to 1902, the reader quickly gets caught up in Emily Sundberg's trials and triumphs. Working hard to be a respected, mature schoolteacher, Emily struggles to conquer the embarrassment and guilt over a mistake made when she was thirteen. Like any other young woman, Emily dreams of love and marriage, but how can she be attracted to Jake Edgerton--the very person she blames for the rumors spread when she was thirteen?

Andrea Boeshaar has woven a wonderful story of love and forgiveness. The reader is pulled into the story from the beginning and abides there until the very last page is turned, crying and laughing with Emily. I highly recommend Threads of Love, Andrea's third installment in her Fabric of Time series.
