Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot
A traditional story presented to help beginning readers by employing frequent repetition and easy sentences. The text is accompanied by delightful illustrations with particularly engaging expressions on the faces of the pigs and wolf. " An Easy-to-Read" book-Level 1.
School Library Journal
PreS-Gr 2This version of The Three Little Pigs is strong on tradition, with the usual repetitive actions and sentences, and the first two little pigs get eaten. The structure and familiar story line provide a good vehicle for youngsters beginning to read on their own. Rader's watercolor illustrations contain plenty of context clues and provide humor. Though Ziefert's text is more complex than Margaret Hillert's pre-primer edition (Modern Curriculum, 1963) and not as originalor as funkyas James Marshall's retelling (Dial, 1989), it will get plenty of use in beginning-to-read collections.Gale W. Learning from mistakes

I learned early in life that it was best to learn from other's mistakes. This book tells of much the same, but in a group of three pigs. Ultimately, it shows children to learn from mistakes.
