Overview

Needing a fresh start from her two-timing fiancé, Aurora McAllister answers a realtor's ad for a guesthouse on the beautiful, serene Three River Ranch. She shows up at Three River tired, heartbroken, and with no one but her trusty Labradoodle as a companion.

Cowboy Carson Granger has enough trouble in his life without adding a woman and her dog to the mix. There's the untamed mustang he's prepping to release into the wild, not to mention his father's crazy will, which stipulates that if Carson wants to fully inherit Three River, he'll need to find a bride. Carson wants nothing to do with love and especially not a marriage of convenience. But he soon realizes Rory, and everything she represents, might just be exactly what he needs.

Sometimes love arrives on your doorstep when you least expect it...

This book was so good! It was such a good story. Carson and Rory were great together. I loved Blythe and Bliss. Those two made me laugh and what insight they had. I loved how insightful Rory was and how Carson did try to help Rory. Once I started reading it I couldn't put it down. This book is a definite re-read for me.

This is a GREAT story with memorable characters, heart and humour. I loved the surprises (no spoilers here) and the ultimate resolution. The writing was crisp and delicious--like the very first apples in the fall! I can't wait to see more of this series and more from this author.

Beautifully written, lifelike characters and the bonus of well-researched information on the animals make this book a must-read! Will be anxiously awaiting Snopek's next piece of literary art. Highly highly recommended!

I enjoyed this book a lot. I actually read all 477 pages in one day. I had to make sure they were going to finally tell each other how they felt.

This was not a "formula" Romance novel. I loved the twists and turns of the story, and found myself surprised and delighted by the plot development. Rory and Carson were people that seemed real and relatable, and I loved the animals. I will eagerly await the next novel from this author.

This multi-layered story made me care about what happened to the characters. This is a true romance that not only touched my heart, but stirred the depths of my emotions.

I rarely read romance, but this book swept me up completely! the characters felt absolutely REAL, which made the whole storyline that much more addictive. Many nights spent with the bedside lamp on for this book, much to my husband's chagrin. If, and only if, he starts acting like Cowboy Carson, maybe I'll be able to slow down on Madam Snopek's delicious literary masterpiece.

I have found a new author to follow. Three River Ranch was a wonderful story all around. The characters were well developed, the the backdrop was interesting and kept my interest throughout. I like the bits of humor that kept the story from dragging. Can't wait to start the next....

Lovely romance! Aurora ‘Rory’ McAllister just wants to get away from her jerk ex-fiancé and start over. She rents a guesthouse on Three River Ranch sight unseen only when she and her dog Mistral arrive there seems to be a misunderstanding as to who is staying where. Carson Granger has come home to take over the family ranch and finds out his father has screwed him from the grave. Carson (and his brother Mitchell) will not inherit the ranch or family fortune unless they marry. Carson is trying to set up the property as a wild mustang sanctuary, but if he doesn’t get the grant he needs to buy the property outright he may have to find a convenient wife. That’s when Rory shows up with a signed rental agreement. Things get interesting from there. This is a lovely romance with well-developed characters (including the animals) and a smooth-flowing plot. Carson and Rory come with baggage and despite a steamy attraction they need to build a foundation before they can possibly build a future. They overcome obstacles, but Carson is his own worst enemy. Many times I wanted to hit him over the head with a shovel. Well, ok, maybe only a broom. Wouldn’t want to cause permanent damage to him.  Roxanne Snopek is a new-to-me author and I look forward to reading more by her. *Book source ~ Many thanks to Entangled Publishing and NetGalley for providing me with a review copy. Aurora (Rory) McAllister is in desperate need of a fresh start. She’s left her job, her best friend, the city she lives in, and her cheating ex-fiance behind. Rory is so desperate that she even answers a realtor’s ad for a guesthouse. Rory signs all the rental paperwork, site unseen. Little did she expect the not so welcome surprise that she would receive. Carson Granger is the oldest of Derek and Marie Granger’s two boys. Marie died of cancer before Carson and his brother Mitchell started high school. After their mother’s death, things got pretty bad for the Granger men. Derek has recently died and has left a stipulation in his will that his sons are not to get the multimillion-dollar ranch known as Three River unless they get married and have a family. Because of the way Derek was with his boys, he knew they would never come back home and agree to such a thing. It’s always interesting how when a person knows that their time on this earth is coming to a close, they try to make things right. Could one of the last times that Carson and Derek spoke to each other hold an important key for Carson? Carson’s passion lies with wild mustangs. In fact, he’s just rescued a beautiful, full-blooded, Spanish mustang named Stormy. Carson’s hope is to get a research grant that will enable him to look after his beloved mustangs and buy Three River Ranch out-right and not give into his father’s “pig-headed” demands. I love when the hero and heroine of a book first meet. It sets up how they are going to interact throughout the book. Carson has been out of touch for a month or so and didn’t make it a priority to return his lawyer’s phone calls. Thus, he wasn’t expecting a stranger with a funny looking dog to be on his property when he returned home. And Rory wasn’t expecting to run into someone who was accusing her of trespassing. With Rory being very pregnant, the two come to an agreement to share the guesthouse for a couple of months. Awwww, instant friendship. Okay, not really. Three River Ranch is one of those stories where you already know what’s going to happen. But who cares???? A romance book is all about the journey. Roxanne Snopek did an excellent job. Oh, and of course there’s the must shed a tear moment. Darn her. In the midst of chaos, Rory manages to calm a scared and nervous Stormy and chip away at the sometimes cold and hard exterior of Carson. Rory and Carson are two people who need each other and don’t even know it. I love all the characters in this book, from the twins Bliss and Blythe, to Jonah, Carson’s attorney, to his good friend Zach, and Rory’s best friend in the whole world Desiree. I’m very excited that there’s another book in this series. Hopefully, there’s more than just the one book. Source: NetGalley Reviewed for Read Your Writes Book Reviews

Yeah this is a book designed and written mainly for women. Why did I enjoy it so much then? Read some previews from some Roxanne Snopeks works. Ok, I'll give it a shot. The sappy girlie scenes didnt go on long enough to scare me off. Dogs/horses/cowboys and a pregnant city girl. Did real good job of tying it all together. Pretty much just as our lives are going now. Settle in for an evening or two to be entertained. Probably come out with a few sniffles or a red eye and drippy nose. Still a good read. Keep up the good work Roxanne Snopek.

Reviewed by Brittney Rossie for Readers' Favorite Three River Ranch by Roxanne Snopek introduces us to Aurora (Rory) McAllister who is abandoned, pregnant, homeless, and looking for a fresh start near her good friend who owns a natural birth center. She thinks she’s found a good place to start over, but it turns out another person, Carson Granger, has a claim to the same house. Both are determined not to give up their dreams and thus they strike a bargain to share the place until a better arrangement can be made. Being thrust into such close quarters with such complicated situations creates opportunities to work together, build trust, and solve each other's problems temporarily. The problem is that neither of them is sure that they want it to remain temporary. Three River Ranch is a modern love story that takes on the marriage of convenience plot line and surprises the reader delightfully with the delivery of something that usually works best in historical romance novels. I really loved the charming characters Snopek introduced me to that were a little off-beat, complex and believable - a 7-month pregnant heroine, a tree-hugger cowboy, and an outstanding cast of supporting characters like “the blister and the blight” who, I am happy to share, do make appearances in the other Three River Ranch books in the series. It’s writers like Snopek who create the happily ever afters we crave and keep me coming back for more of her stories, but in no way is her writing or her characters ever typical and boring.
