The human drama draws near to its climax upon earth and it is now time to turn our attention inward. In our haste for technological progress we have forgotten who we are, and a battle rages for our very souls. A deceptive haze abounds upon the earth as a result of this battle, thus blinding man of his true origins and destiny. By ignoring the warnings we have sabotaged our own well being; in an effort to be independent of God mankind thwarts the cosmic plan.
But an awakening is coming: the long awaited dawn is nigh, but when the light shines forth, will we be ready? We mustn't be fooled by this present world in forfeiture of one inconceivably better; for when human existence strikes the higher octave the former state of being will be viewed with contempt! When will this paradigm begin? And is this "The Millennial Reign of Christ"?
A wake-up call for all God's children as the end of the world draws near.
Gabriel North, in his short philosophical work Threshing the Cosmic Chaff, wants to send a clear message to all people living in the world today. He wants everyone to know that God is real, and that this life is a temporary pause on the way to eternity. He warns against becoming too involved in material things, and losing faith altogether.
This book is labeled "Philosophy," but it's important to know that its audience is definitely Christian believers. North lays out a multifaceted, deeply felt series of arguments for belief, and for looking forward to the end of this life. His is a bold rhetorical style, and while his digressions are often distracting, his conviction is clear and often moving. However, this is obviously a self-published book, and would have benefited greatly from an editor. Fans of Christian polemics, and end-times treatises in general, will find something interesting here, but it may not be for general audiences.
Gabriel North lives in North America, in the Great Lakes region.
North's arguments are deep and, with a little streamlining, could have been very persuasive for his intended audience. However, poor editing and lack of focus make this an Average read.
