A great resource for those dealing with Thyroid issues. Completely explains each aspect of thyroid problems and what each type needs. This cookbook is super detailed and has a lot of helpful ideas to make sure that all necessary nutrients are packed into the meals you can (and should) eat while offering options for weight loss. Recipes are broken down into meal categories (breakfast, lunch, dinner, savory snacks, desserts) and even has a 30-day meal plan. I highly suggest this, not only for those with Thyroid problems, but for anyone that is looking to be more health-conscious.

As someone who has not studied biology in years, The Thyroid Diet Plan: How to Lose Weight, Increase Energy, and Manage Thyroid Symptoms is a God-send. Referencing the scientific terminology of thyroid deficiencies, the book states how to overcome diseases associated with the thyroid by watching what you eat, an active lifestyle and understanding the nature of the gland. The menu does not just stick to domestic dishes! Entries include meals from Italy, Greece, Morroco even Korea and Turkey! The recipes provided are mainly vegetarian with a large portion of the dinner ideas devoted to seafood dishes. While offering healthy variations of culinary classics (baked ziti, deviled eggs, banana bread, etc) The Thyroid Diet Plan promises not to compromise on taste.

It provides an easy to understand explanation of the dangers of thyroid deficiency and how we can combat them through diet and exercise, as well as explaining the medical treatment options available. The author gives us a detailed 30 day diet plan as well as many easy to follow recipes for breakfast, lunch and dinner along with some exciting dessert ideas.

Honestly, this book has really good information inside of it. It doesn't instill fear inside of people; it doesn't perpetuate a paranoid person's fear that they might have thyroid problems. It lays it down very easy with what is affected by thyroid issues and how to live healthier to make things easier. It gives very good recipes and alerts people of what to look out for, such as their vitamin intake, their stressors, and metabolism.

Suffer from thyroid problems, or think you do? This book will help you figure it out. Not only that, but it also tells you how to eat for the best of health. Eating right can help with many health issues, and that includes hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism. I love the 30-day meal plan too!

This short but informative book tells how to maintain proper thyroid care through a good diet. The author tells of its functions, and how to know if it's working properly. He has a 30 day meal plan, complete with recipes, to help with this process. It covers all 3 meals, snacks, and desserts. Instead of processed foods, eat foods with the proper vitamins and nutrients. There's also information about thyroid supplements. This book will be a good tool in preventive care.

The Thyroid Diet Plan gave good explanations of the differences between hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism. There were some very interesting points presented throughout the book and author seems to want readers to lean toward a diet that is around 1,500 calories per day for an “average” person- with leeway according to BMR.  I especially liked Chapter Eleven: Desserts! Yum! The book was definitely informational and the food plan and recipes given sound so delicious- I can’t wait to start cooking.
