The bestselling author of Full Exposure delivers another explosive tale of seduction and suspense.

As the only woman on her homicide squad, star investigator Genevieve Delacroix maintains a tough-as-nails attitude that keeps men at arm’s length. She never gives in to her secret fantasies—until she meets a mysterious stranger who teaches her how little control she really has over her mind or her body.

Cole Adams arrives in New Orleans believing Genevieve is his last hope for solving the murder of his younger sister. He just doesn’t expect the hard-bitten detective to look like a blond bombshell. Once he breaks through her inhibitions, he soon finds an unexpected obsession driving Genevieve right to the edge of desire . . . and beyond. But when the serial killer who has been terrorizing the streets of the French Quarter sets his sights on Genevieve, they realize that they both have let down their guard. And losing control can have fatal consequences.

Heavy on the Sex...Light on the Suspense Cole Adams comes to New Orleons searching for information related to his sisters murder years earlier in the city. Her death has haunted him for years and he’s hoping he can convince Genevieve Delacroix, a homicide detective with a good track record, to help him find answers. Things take an unexpected turn when Cole tracks down Genevieve in a bar and chemistry explodes into a night of passion Cole wasn’t prepared for. He doesn’t tell Genevieve about his hidden agenda or his initial plan to ask for her help and instead gets caught up in a passionate affair he can't walk away from. Genevieve is a hard working homicide detective that gets little support or respect from some of her male co-workers on the squad. She works harder, she acts tougher, and she rarely lets her guard down. She’s busy trying to piece together the clues left behind at several grizzly crime scenes, convinced there is a serial killer at work when she meets Cole. Can Genevieve risk getting involved with a stranger who is less than honest about his past? And when Genevieve ends up the target of a sadistic killer, who will she be able to count on? I recently read another book by Tracy Wolff, Full Exposure, and a lot of the comments I made on that review are true for Tie Me Down as well. These books aren't in a series together but both are in the Loveswept Contemporary Erotic Romance family and share several similarities. If you've read one and liked it, it's worth checking out the other. If you’re not looking for an erotic story, I wouldn’t recommend reading Tie Me Down. The suspense story line is definitely secondary to the sexual relationship between the two main characters. This book is pretty much filled with sex. While there are BDSM elements throughout the story, primarily domination and bondage, I considered the book to be BDSM-lite. Cole is definitely an alpha, and his need and desire to control Genevieve in the bedroom starts right from the beginning and is evident in his thought process and his actions. Not only is Cole an alpha that wants nothing more to dominate his lover, but he's also quite the dirty talker. Tie Me Down is definitely a hot read and has a couple major ingredients that I always love in a book, mainly steamy sexy, a bossy alpha, and major dirty talk. It was also well written. I can't help but feeling a bit disappointed though. I've always loved the romantic suspense genre and I realize that it can be difficult to get a good balance between the suspense and the romance. For me, Tie Me Down had almost too much sex. I know, I know...I can't believe I'm saying that either! But the potential was there for this to be a much stronger suspense book than it was. In the end, it was just much more about the sex than anything else. The best romantic suspense books, even those with an erotic element, have a good mix of both. Overall, a 3.5 STAR READ for me. ## I had such high hopes for this book. I loved the story line about the female cop, who's gorgeous, working on a serial killer case. And the man whose sister was murdered who wants her help. But what i didn't like was that the "hero" ( i use that term loosely) was such an ass. And i have a hard time believing that this smart capable female detective would just take it. Time and time again. I like explicit sex as much as the next girl, but it was almost rape, several times. Kick this guy to the curb and hook up with the surfer boy partner instead.

The storyline is good. However, the long and drawn out details during the first sexual encounter of Cole and Geniveve was extremely annoying and I had started to withdraw from the story. And the editor clearly did not clean up spelling and grammar errors. I do appreciate how easy it is to care about the characters and how she took care in establishing a realistic relationship.

TIE ME DOWN was a very erotic story, with light BDSM and a bit of suspense. The writing was good, the story had a lot of potential but as much as the sex was HOT, the suspense wasn’t as intriguing as it could have been. You can guess who the serial killer is pretty much from the beginning. Genevieve Delacroix is a New Orleans homicide detective investigating the brutal deaths of local women. Cole Adams is a Filmmaker and is in New Orleans to film a documentary. He also needs Genevieve’s help to solve his sister’s murder, which has become a cold case. The story was more about their very strange relationship and about their experimentation into BDSM. Cole’s determination to find his sister’s killer is secondary considering it’s the reason why he’s really in New Orleans. There is chemistry between Genevieve and Cole but their intimacy is usually brought about from anger. They also argue after sex almost every time and although they say they trust each other, they are not honest and upfront about their intentions. I couldn’t connect with them and at times didn’t like them very much, which took away from the story. Received from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

A highly erotic book with a decent underlying suspense story. Unfortunately for me, the book was out of balance, heavily favouring the erotic sequences which were descriptive in great detail. It was almost as if the remainder of the book was written to tie one erotic sequence to the other, with much less detail and inner dialogue description. Because the suspense topic was such an intense one, it felt it didn't get the 'due' it deserved.  Perhaps because of that, I had a hard time finding the characters credible. They seemed so completely absorbed and consumed by sexual desire and hunger at all times, that everything else disappeared. It just doesn't seem like a realistic condition for a man who has done nothing but be obsessed with his sister's death, or a woman whose dedication to her job was absolute, prior to meeting each other.  The interpretation of what can almost be described as a switch dominant/submissive relationship seemed, if anything, rather erratic and rooted in frustration and anger, and that didn't sit well with me. Not that I know a whole lot about the lifestyle, but it sure felt like a slippery slope and left me slightly uncomfortable. On the whole, the writing is good, the story certainly has enough potential and if it had more balance and a better rhythm, I would rate it higher. ¿The search for sexual fulfillment and a serial killer!¿ **ARC provided by NetGalley and Loveswept in return for an honest review.**

I really loved this book.  It was hot, intriguing, sexy, suspenseful.  It held everything that I  would expect from a book in this genre.   The characters were well-rounded and complete.  The plots were succinct yet interwoven to enhance each other.  The supporting characters were exactly as they should be, no supporting character taking more of a place in the story than they should.   The mystery in the story had me completely hooked, talk about a page turner!  This book would have been just as good without the heat but it was even better with it.  This book would have also been just as good without the mystery, but again was even better with it. The main character, Genevieve Delacroix, reminded me a lot of J.D. Robb's Eve Dallas.  She is tough and excellent at her job and has the weight on her shoulders of standing for her victims.  This is an excellent read and I would recommend it highly.
