Overview

His heart is tied to his past…
When Sole Regret’s rhythm guitarist, Kellen Jamison, vowed to be faithful to his fiancée and love her forever, he meant it. He never expected to lose her to cancer so early in life. He’s certain he’ll never love again, but destiny has another plan for him.

Her heart is tied to her work…
Grammy-winning classical composer and piano virtuoso, Dawn O’Reilly, is overwhelmed with music-writing deadlines, a fickle muse, and high-expectations. She doesn’t have time to find love, but chance seeks to interfere with her carefully devised plans.

They’re bound to become entangled...
From the instant Kellen hears Dawn’s latest musical composition, his spirits rise. The stirring melody and the remarkable woman responsible for its creation are impossible to resist. His attraction is undeniable; her passion unquenchable. Kellen teaches Dawn there’s freedom in bondage, while her sensuality drives him to unleash his tightly controlled self-restraint. Will the ropes Kellen uses to secure Dawn’s body be the force that binds them together or ultimately sever all ties between them?

Meet the Author

Combining her love for romantic fiction and rock 'n roll, Olivia Cunning writes erotic romance centered around rock musicians. Raised on hard rock music from the cradle, she attended her first Styx concert at age six and fell instantly in love with live music. She's been known to travel over a thousand miles just to see a favorite band in concert. As a teen, she discovered her second love, romantic fiction -- first, voraciously reading steamy romance novels and then penning her own. She recently sold her snow shovel and moved from Nebraska to Galveston, Texas. She loves to spend time on the beach with her feet in the surf writing about naughty rock stars.

I'll be honest. I wasn't sure how much I was going to like this

I'll be honest. I wasn't sure how much I was going to like this one going into it. Kellen has always been a bit mysterious to me and I didn't really get why he was still mourning his fiancee. After reading Tie Me, I feel like I not only understand him better, but I have a clearer picture of what his relationship was like with Sara. And, it wasn't all that great if you ask me. Sure, I think they were in love, but I don't think Sara allowed him to be who he really was. Dawn, not only sees Kellen, but accepts him as he is.

As for Dawn, I think she's a good pick for Kellen. She's a bit deeper and incredibly intelligent. I think she is a nice compliment to him. I liked Dawn, but can't say I really connected with her. I'm curious to see how their relationship will develop down the road.

Overall, this one was definitely sexy. I sure wouldn't mind having Kellen tie me up!

    Quotes:
"I didn't understand until I stopped fighting against the bonds. Physically, emotionally, and spiritually I gave the ropes control, and then I understood what he meant. By giving up control, I became free."-Loc 1012

I love the series but must say I'm not liking the "serial" way books are being pushed out. I feel like I am reading a few chapters and by the time I get to the next, I'm not remembering much of the previous characters. This was a great read and I look forward to the 10+ future reads to this serial but I would like to just have the finished product or I'm thinking I might need to wait til all are released and then read to feel satisfied.

I was excited to get to the mystery behind Kellen...was he in love with Owen. Once the explanation came out, I was satisfied. I REALLY love that the ex love of his life, sounded honestly, like a B*TCH! She wasn't really his love...he has just made her out to be! Can't wait for more on them.

Sole Regret member Kellen Jamison has made his wife a promise to love her forever. Then she died of cancer. He hasn't broken that vow yet, but one night he decides maybe he should move on and actually try and be happy.
That night he meets Dawn O'Reilly...a classic composer. Dawn is bound and determined to make Kellen see her and make him hers.

Olivia Cunning is masterful with Sole Regret and the Sinner's series. I can't get enough of her writing or characters. When Kellen gives his all he gives his all...everything. I can't wait to read more about Sole Regret and Kellen.

    A must read

I love what Olivia is doing with this series; so unique. You fall in love with each character because they are all so different yet typical men trying to be strong but yearning for wonderful woman to love them for who they truly are. Was so glad to finally get to read the beginning of Kellen's story and can't wait for it to continue.

    Olivia Does it Again!

Olivia Cunning does it again. But I am bothered by this format however. It takes months for us all to read what happened the next day for crying out loud. I vote longer books in this series, more over time and more in depth on each character than a snip it! And who is that baby’s father already????

This is book five in the Sole Regret series and is based on memb

This is book five in the Sole Regret series and is based on member Kellen "Kelly" Jamison. We got a peek into Kelly's story in Touch Me (Owen's story) and Share Me (Sole Regret Novella). I was excited to read Tie Me and get a chance to see deeper into Kelly and Owen's relationship. Going into TM we already know that Kelly hasn't had intercourse since his girlfriend died almost five years ago. Kellen's story picks up with him staying at the house he bought after Sara died. He had made some sacrifices to give her a week in that dream house because she had fallen in love with it. He goes there sometimes to feel close to her. Owen has been pressuring him to move on and it is beginning to put a strain on their friendship. Walking back from the beach Kelly is hypnotized by someone playing the piano. While he stops to listen he gets caught in a rain storm. It's at that point that Dawn invites him into her home. They bond over music even though he is part of a metal band and she is a classical composer. They get along great and both realize how lonely they've been. After a terrific night together Kellen still cannot let go of the guilt he feels over having cheated on Sara's memory. Kellen knows Dawn deserves more than he can give. Dawn knows that she cannot forget what they shared and has to go after him. Every time I think the last SR book is my favorite Olivia Cunning makes me love the current release even more. I am SOOO glad we are getting many many more SR books. I knew this book was going to be emotional and it's told in Olivia's own unique style. I didn't think I would ever "hate" someone's memory BUT damn that Sara really did a number on Kelly. Loved this book and am never disappointed in any over Olivia Cunnings books.
FAVORITE QUOTE: His feelings hadn't ended when her life had. That wasn't how love worked. People who hadn't lost the love of their life didn't understand that.

This is a fabulous book for anyone that has any fantasy involving rock bands, from guitarists, the drummer and the singer I am in love with this series... Cannot wait for the next one. Olivia does a great job keeping all the characters through there issues all together, so in each book you get to see their progress.

    4.5 stars.

I really liked this story of Kellen and Dawn. Kellen has some heartache from a love he had in Sara who pasted away 5 years prior. As I read the book I was finding myself not too crazy about Sara, she seems very selfish to a man she is suppose to love. I think Kellen put her on a pedestal and could not see her flaws. Kellen finds Dawn when he hears her playing piano at her beach house, which her music calls out to him in his time of need.
I enjoyed that these two got together out of their love of music before sex was the main pull. It was a nice difference to the other stories.
I am not liking this new thing some authors are doing where they get you started on a story then.....oh wait.... continue the story in another book which will be a long while in publishing before you can even read it!!! By then you have forgotten what exactly the story was about!!
Kellen and Dawn are the 5th in the series, with about 130+ nookpages. It is still a great read with steamy lovin, and connecting with the characters in the rest of the series as well thru out the books.

Ah, Kellen Jamison. Kellen is by far the most enigmatic member of Sole Regret, the one I've been so anxious to learn more about, especially after the surprising "events" in Share Me and Touch Me. Kellen is broody, mysterious, and heartbroken. We ladies tend to love a broken man, and they don't come much more so than Kellen.

I was a little scared to read Kellen's book, because I knew it was going to be sad seeing him in Galveston, his place with Sara, the dead love of his life. And it was. Cunning did such a fabulous job of expressing the intensity of Kellen's depression and desperation. Of wanting so much to be able to move on, and the inability to break his promises to Sara.

And I'll just say it, yeah, Sara is dead and I'm sorry for that, but talk about selfish! She requested promises of him that no one should be asked of, and especially such a young man at that. It's no wonder Kellen is unable to move on, and just live. As much as I hated what Sara did to Kellen, I am really glad Olivia Cunning included this in the story, because now I get why Kellen has tortured himself for five long years.

Dawn O'Reilly is the woman who just may bring Kellen back to life, and I loved her characterization. She is a gifted musician in her own right, but had a humility that was endearing. Dawn had a quiet strength that was perfect for Kellen, but also a vulnerability that drew him in.

Tie Me, though very, very sexy like all of the other books in the series, was quite different in that respect, too. This makes perfect sense because Kellen and his situation is completely unique. It takes a special type of woman and level of intimacy to bring Kellen to life. This aspect of the story was touching and beautiful.

Tie Me was another great One Night with Sole Regret. I feel like now each guy has had his night, and now the stories have all intersected. The dynamic of the group and each guy is very different than at the beginning of the series, and things will be interesting moving forward, to say the least.

Next up will be Tell Me, back around to the first couple Gabe and Melanie. I wonder what kind of kinky inventions Gabe has up his sleeve???

Satisfying Story, Surprisingly Emotional With Lots of Steam

After my disappointment with the ending of the previous book in this series I'm happy to report that for the most part this story rewards me for my loyalty in continuing to read this rock n' roll series of books. Kellen is still aching from the death of his fiancée years ago and in honor of her he's remained celibate, though he's not adverse to playing with women while with his best friend Owen. His pain and loneliness have been apparent through the series thus far and I ached for him while applauding his loyalty to a woman that didn't really deserve it. Sara wanted to be Kellen's only obsession and felt his music kept getting in the way. Sara never truly understood him or his needs and was too pure to bring him long-term happiness. On the night he returns to the home of her dreams to rid himself of the symbol of her soul that he wears on his wrist he hears haunting music that brings him a sense of joy and happiness that's been missing from his life since Sara died. In search of its origin he discovers Dawn, a celebrated pianist whose luscious looks and exceptional talent have him completely enthralled and forgetting his promises to Sara. A night of steamy interludes with a bit of bondage make for a memorable connection between two people looking for a bit of happiness and acceptance from the obligations that weight them down. He feels guilty as his inherent honor sees his night of sexual freedom as a betrayal that has him on the run from a potential lifetime of happiness that Dawn represents.

Luckily Dawn is a strong-willed woman who has obligations of her own and who goes after what she wants. From the moment Kellen shows up on her doorstep she can't help but be drawn to him. Their mutual love of music is the foundation for what promises to be an intense relationship. She can understand him in a way Sara never could or would and even though he makes no long-term promises, she'll take whatever she can get. The darkly erotic promises he offers her have her jumping in wholeheartedly to their one night of freedom through bondage as they make beautiful music together. Dawn is immensely likable and more than willing to take a walk on the wild side. She desperately wants to heal Kellen and shares with him many hard truths that he struggles to accept as they get closer to one another on their rocky road to a HEA.

Dawn and Kellen are a wonderful couple who appear to have everything even as they're struggling with obligations to others. Their sexual connection is intense and freeing and allowed for numerous truths to come out that set Kellen on the pathway to healing. Though the focus of this story was on them we get to spend a bit of time with the other members of Sole Regret and the brotherly bond they have. Owen especially plays a big role as he and Kellen have a history they must come to terms with before both of them can find a HEA. On a whole this story was my favorite of all with his damaged hero, strong heroine, and super HOT sexual encounters. The only thing that diminished my enjoyment was the return of band groupie, and Owen-obsessed Lindsey. She's extremely possessive of Owen and expects to be taken care of even though she got herself into the position she's in. I find her completely unlikable and slightly delusional and I'm frustrated by her continued presence. Here's hoping that her storyline will be wrapped up soon.

    Kellen's Story

I was eager to read this because Kellen was one of my favorite characters in the other Sole Regret series. (Reading them all in order is helpful!) It was worth waiting for because Kellen and Dawn are two amazing individuals and their meeting and romance are extraordinary! I loved it...

    Love Kelly!

This was a great read! I really love Olivia Cunning and this Sole Regret series. I knew this was going to be a great addition to the series, but I was suprised at the emotion I felt while reading it. Kellen is trying to keep promises he made to the women he was going to marry, but has died. His internal struggle is painful to read. But Kellen meets a women who stirs up emotions that he thought he would never feel again. I can't wait to see what the future holds for this couple. Once again OC has delivered a great read and we should all bow to her genius!
