All Music Guide - Bruce Eder
Subtitled "Sally Goodin," Tiffany Transcriptions, Vol. 6 is a volume of mostly traditional songs, some of dealing with life in Oklahoma, which isn't so far from Texas that a Texas-based swing band couldn't rightfully do them. Maybe the most unusual track here, other than the Berlin number, is "Playboy Chimes," written by Wills and Herb Remington, which features some dazzling string playing by about half a dozen guys in the band. Their version of Jimmie Rodgers' "Never More Hard Times Blues," with its prominent yodeling, also makes for an unusual change of pace for the group.
