Overview

Book 7 in the New Species series. While each New Species book is a standalone, the greatest enjoyment will come from reading them in series order. Zandy’s had too much to drink and is in the wrong place at the wrong time. She knows she’s going to die. When next her eyes open, a beautiful man-creature is holding her in his arms. He’s just too tempting to resist, her very own fallen angel. She wraps herself around his body, determined to have him. But when this angel turns out to be flesh and blood, reality crashes in—she’s seducing a New Species. Tiger’s shock quickly turns to intense passion when the human female kisses him, despite the fact she’s trying to get his clothes off while he’s engaged in a task force operation. He’s also made it clear he’ll never take a mate. Rather difficult when he and Zandy can’t keep their hands off each other. The taste and feel of his little human just leaves Tiger wanting more. Where can I get my own New Species...Tiger is so hot and the sex just burns up the pagies. If you have never read any of Laurann Dohners books you are in for an awesome treat!! Every book in this series is great alone but even better if you read from beginning... A MUST READ!!!

The series just keeps improving as Laurann Dohner rocks another New Species book. Not only did she manage to give us a great Tiger-Zandy storyline, but there were lots of nice juicy tidbits dropped about several other characters from previous books. Just leaves you wanting more - bring on Vengeance, Smiley, Flame, Snow, #880.

Tiger has always been one of my favorite New Species. So I had high hopes for his story. It was good, not great, but very good. Couldn't decide between 4 and 5 stars, but gave it 5 because I love the series so much. I guess I am just getting a little jaded about the whole, meeting, falling in love while not wanting to, then the female gets kidnapped and endangered, so he rescues her (or she gets pregnant), they decide they can't live without each other and become mates. Granted, you don't want to mess with what works, and that storyline obviously works when it comes to New Species. But I'd like to see a new twist to things to keep it interesting. I did love the character of Richard. He was the story's "comic relief", much like Amanda was in Wrath. Creek is a great new addition also. That is one thing that Laurann excels at, secondary characters who greatly add to your overall enjoyment with the story. The picnic and seduction scenes with Tiger and Zandy near the stream were a nice change. Very romantic and touching. And loved seeing more of Smiley. Would like to see a book about him since Laurann hasn't yet had one with a primate species. There could be some interesting twists with a primate storyline and mating. I'm kind of over the whole Vengence character. He doesn't interest me at all, but I have a feeling he will have his own story soon. Maybe I'll change my mind about him Although I did like the scene where he helped Tiger hunt down the man who harmed Zandy. Overall, I would highly recommend this book, especially to anyone who is already a fan of New Species.

I really liked Tiger's story, and it was definetely better than the last book, but I hope the next book is about Vengance, he is so brutish but has good intentions. Also as a good side story I would love to read more about Midnight, or the "gift" females :)

You should alwys remember never say never. Tiger always said he would never mate with a human female. Then along comes a beautiful red head named Zandy and he falls at her feet. I have to say this is my favorite book of them all. It is a must read.

I love this series. Even tho they are all "basically" the same theme in all the New Species books, but Laurann does know how to tell the story. I have really enjoyed all of these books. I just hope she lets us know about the New Species Babies and how they will grow up in this hateful world with all the hate groups.

I have looked forward to Tiger's story since his character was first introduced and I wasn't disappointed. I was under the impression that this was the last book in this series but I'm really hoping that there will be more.

Tiger and Zandy's story was another great addition to the series. I was sad when I got to the end because I wanted to keep reading more. I wish the author would write a compliation of all of the past characters and their families because I want to know what's going on in thier lives. That's when you know you've got a great series when the characters start to seem and feel like real people. I wonder whose story will be next in the series?

It was great watching Tiger finally meet his match in Zandy. Though the beginning was a bit of a rough start, I thought that the two were strong characters and fit each other perfectly. We had some questions answered about the medications that were tested on the NS and how they affected them. Though they both fought their attraction to each other, at the start, once the "mating ritual" began, there was really nothing they could do about it. It was cute to hear how Tiger felt and how much he needed Zandy as a mate, but he put up a good fight before falling into a relationship he couldn't stop. And, Zandy, having such bad luck with her previous relationships, couldn't fight the inevitable either. The kidnapping of Zandy and subsequent rescue painted a perfect picture of the zealots who were protesting outside the gates. There was quite a bit more conflict in this book, and it made for a good story. This one was one of my favorites, because Tiger preached his dislike of the human/NS relationships so vividly. Yet, he had little control when he finally met a human woman who won his heart. Thanks for another great NS story, Ms Dohner. I'm looking forward to the next one.

4.75* I love this series and the books just keep getting better and better. Tiger was dead set against mating and if he ever did it would not be to a human. His friends where crazy to mate humans and he let it be known to everyone how he felt about it. As I always say "never say never". Tiger just didn't know what hit him when he met Zandy Gordon the night they where called out to break up a local bar brawl. Zandy thought Tiger was a beautiful fallen angel to escort her to hell for her sins so she thought she'd go out with a bang and kiss him. Once she realized she was not dead and embarrassed enough to wish she were she figured she'd never see him again. That is until the day she applied for a job at Reservation. There were a tone of people there she'd never see him right? that is until lunch. From almost that moment their relationship was so hot and sexy their chemistry was off the charts. Usually in a book where there is a ton of sex I get irritated and want more story but this was their way of communicating and damn but it was hot and made so much sense. Tiger was afraid of his feelings and Zandy was afraid to trust a man again and this was their only way to show what was in their hearts and souls. It was a beautiful thing to watch evolve. There was tears, heartache and major suspense and I can't wait to read book 8 "Obsidian".
