Tigress (Night Hawk #2) by J.E. Taylor
4 of 5 stars
Vampire/Tiger shifter, Naomi, was given a vaccine that once again turned her mortal. To make matters worse she is now toxic to vampires. Meaning she is no longer capable of touching her mate, vampire/hawk shifter, Damian. They need to overcome the challenge of not being able to touch one another for fear of harming Damian. Their love for each other will be put through the ultimate test.
Naomi is a descendant of the Archangel Michael, making her a target of Lucifer. Damian being the protector of Michael’s line has also been a targeted. Mysteries unfold leaving the reader at the edge of their seat.
I really enjoyed that the story is told from both Damian and Naomi’s point of view. It gives the reader great insight it to their thoughts and what they need to overcome.
Tigress is a thrilling read, filled with action. J. E. Taylor wrote a fascinating tale that will delight readers. I really enjoyed this novel it was captivating and entertaining.

This is the second book in the Night Hawk series.
This story has battle action and romance, vampires and angels, good and evil. The heroine is attacked at the beginning of the book starting the book off with action and the suspense builds as the reader wonders what will happen next as the main characters run for their lives.
A situation develops that puts a strain on the couples romance engaging the readers with questions of will the couple overcome their problems and be able to move on with their lives, will true love win. All the characters have a strong presence, keeping you absorbed in the story all the way to the end.
The battle between good evil keeps the reader intrigued with story. While at times I found the monologue between the characters a little confusing when switching from one speaker to the other, I still was absorbed in the story and had to find if good would triumph over evil. The only other thing I found disappointing about the story was in between battles, the story seemed to move at a slow pace. I will be awaiting the next book in the series to see how the characters fare after this battle.
I received an ARC copy of this book from Net Galley in return for an honest review.
