About the Author

Caren Rugg spent 18 years working at a not for profit area agency on aging before leaving to be at home full-time with her husband, Terry, as a result of his chronic health issues. She has been a long time advocate for those dealing with difficulties due to aging, disability, or illness. Her website at www.themedicalmysterytour.com has served as a mechanism for keeping friends and family informed of what happens medically with her husband, but it's also a chronological description of what she and her family have experienced during the past few years with her husband's declining health. She plans to release another book in the summer of 2012 entitled "Navigating and Advocating Through the Choppy Waters of Healthcare" and plans to release "Can You Hear Me Now? A Caregiver's Survival Guide" in the fall of 2012.

Caren has professional and personal experience dealing with a multitude of health issues, and policy surrounding caregiver concerns. She knows what can be accomplished with some good information, a little bit of luck, and a whole lot of determination.
