Meet the Author

Peter Goin is an internationally renowned photographer and the author or coauthor of numerous books including Black Rock and Stopping Time: A Rephotographic Survey of Lake Tahoe. He is Foundation Professor of Art at the University of Nevada, Reno.

Lucy R. Lippard is the author of twenty books on art and cultural criticism, including Down Country: The Tano of the Galisteo Basin, 1250-1782, winner of the 2011 Caroline Bancroft History Prize and the Fray Francisco Atanasio Domínguez Award, and The Lure of the Local: Senses of Place in a Multicentered Society.
